A few years ago we had the property under contract, but it failed the perc test due to the tailings from the abandoned mines, so we got out of the contract. Someone did buy it. I think it was around $85,000. So I don't think it is for sale now. We found a better property that had a nice creek with 2 cascades and twice as large, so we were happy we didn't get this one and found the one we did.

Patrick, I just noticed that in your comments you or the person that made the video mentioned that “ this is where the foundation was?”, but in your comments you had mentioned that the property failed testing. Septic and????? Can you explain that to me and what would that property value be at in current appraisal be at if you know what that would be??? I’m sorry that it’s so late but this is my time slot to research my next living weather it be, land and build or just buy another house and then move rite it. ( easier but?????) text back if you are still available 👍

The foundation mentioned was from a time before the regulations went into effect and may have been before the caves were dug out. It may have even been before indoor plumbing. We suspects it failed the perc test due to the tailings from digging the caves. It was about two years ago when I made the video and the property has since been sold.

@@kidsstudynow6901 I did not buy that one because it failed the Perk test, so I bought another one about a year ago outside Clarkesville in Habersham county. They have other property for sale in the same 12 unit subdivision on Stewart Cove Road. Each parcel is about 5 acres and cost is around $75,000. It was property we had under contract to buy, but it failed the perk test, so we got out of the contract. Not sure if it is still for sale or not. It is a beautiful piece of property! We were able to find another beautiful piece of property, twice as big for less money.

Asking price was $99,900, but we had a contract for it for $85,000. But, it did not pass the perc test and therefore, you could not build on it. So it is not worth anywhere near that. We got out of the contract. It was just outside of Helen, ,GA. We loved it, but useless to us if you can’t have a septic system and build on it.

Mr. Robb This particular property we had under contract until it failed the perc test, so it isn’t under contract with us any more. We found another piece of property on a loud creek for twice as much property and for less that we have under contract now. This video was to show my family. Asking price for this property was $99,900, we negotiated $85,000, but due to it failing the perc test, got out of the contract. Sad, but we moved on.

Ralph Taylor No, we had a preliminary plan the first time we went and followed clues through research and interpretations of clues. After the first year, we thought we were on it and it took two and half trips over the next year and half to realize it wasn’t in the area. We want to return, but finances are keeping us from going. My Dad is now 81 and not many more years for us to do it. We have to start over again, but in the same general area of Northern NM.

Ralph Taylor It is in the mountains north of Sante Fe, NM. He has said it is in one of four states. We happened to believe it is in northern NM, but that has been searched a lot and many people believe it is in Montana or Wyoming or Colorado. We still believe it is in NM for many reasons.
