Getting really lucky with Big Hitters books, either in random loot or in the end loot of the jobs, it's the books that progressed the fastest to be honest

Try to put the videos oldest to newest in order, easy to play the playlist without clicking all the time :) good content. And why you cut the action in the POI’S ? You should cut the looting and boring stuff not the action, not the missions

If you look at the achievements for this game, the Pimps want you to DIE, a lot. From A1, players have been making a mockery of that want. In A10 many players would simply have no base and just run up and down a street, killing the zombies. In A14-16 you could build bedrock deep trap castles, and just collect the loot. As of A20, the Pimps have gone out of their way to make the game increasingly not -fun. They've never fixed the drone, and it's pointless to have it. The cone spikes were the best, and as another writer has pointed out, the Pimps hate those spikes. The Pimps also seem to hate any progress including agricultural farms. The zombies will pause in their need to kill you, and destroy your farm. I remember when we were allowed, in the dev console, to build with bedrock. It only took one unasked for update to kill that.

Anyone who sees this, if I'm wrong please feel free to correct me, but I think one of the devs on livestream once said that they are trying to make you play the game "the right way" (whatever that means). The Pimps are hell bent on making the players play the game their way, and the community as a whole is just like "NO, we will play our way and there's nothing you can do to stop it"

The modding communtiy is still very active, many of the mods have already been updated to V1.0, and a lot of the big overhaul mods have been pegged to still be updated

It is honestly, 2k hours in, still my biggest complaint. Even with the challenges that they brought in for V1.0, the only true measure of progression we have as players, is trader quests ... however, I have an idea for my next series, that could potentially be really fun

I don't think something messed up. Remember the Fun Pimps during the stream said that it would take 2 experienced 7DTD multiplayers around 70 days to get through the game? Well, it took IzPrebuilt 23 in-game days and Guns Nerds and Steele 42 in-game days. I don't think they liked that at all. So, I think the last update was to break progression on purpose before the launch of stable and console. Why? Well don't forget the TFP don't like people playing the game outside of the way they want the game to be played. Remember they removed barbwire, cones, and introduced horde night zombie bashing because players created bases dropping the zombies, the barbwire was slowing down the horde and the cones were being used upside down to damage the zombies. This was not an accident. If it was an accident, a patch would have been out to fix it immediately. Don't forget they released 3 patches (b325, b326 & b327) in one day, why not fix this right away? I suspect that the quests at the higher difficulties change the design of the high tier POIs and rig them with more elaborate zombie non escapable traps that they don't want 7DTD KZbinrs to discover film and give away. Just IMO. 🤗🤗

We joked on Prebuilt's discord the other day that we're convinced TFP sit in the boardroom and go "the players are having fun, we need to stop it". I don't like reading this opinion of yours, it makes too much sense 🤣🤣 I'm really glad TFP don't watch my videos, for all intents and purposes I was done with what I "needed" by day 28, even after they dropped the spawn rates of the books in the Crack-a-Book POI's

Why you have to be careful with Experimental builds, but also reinforces my personal opinion the sooner TFP 'finish' with 7d2d, the sooner Mod creators can make a good game from the framework.

I decided to bite the bullet and start a new game (I was on day 28) and using the old pregens, i did all the trouble shooting to get my save to work again, but then also found out id ran into the Tier resetting problems, I guess its sort of expected being experimental so im not too angry about it

Yeah, I'll ride this one out for the sake of the series, getting the day 35 and hopefully day 42 blood moons done before they go into official release. Honestly, I'm not angry about it, it's more, disgruntled because I have to change plans, but angry... naah, you expect things to go pear shaped when it's all experimental

lol... if u watched 1 min longer ud see hes not too upset bout it and just plays the game... its normall for one to be a little bit anoyed after so much progress is lost over something that should not happen, even if it is experimental.. theyve had 11 years of experimenting ... they release the full game, not in alpha anymore... still as being experimental and still a huge roadmap ahead... which will all be experimental at first... im also anoyed that my tiers got set back cause i was about to do my second to last T5 to get T6s, now i gotta do more of lower ones again to get to that stage again

Yeah i thought something was wrong with my game last night. I was certain I was up to tier 3 but trader only had tier 2 for me. Not as bad as going 6 down to 3 though.

@@LambiPlays I mean, I don't really see a problem with their statement. It's experimental, things will break, everyone should be aware of this already. And that's "the attitude" which they take. Experimental is not supposed for you to have a problem free playthrough. Between updates and even within an update you can run into problems, crashes or even savegame-breaking stuff that can happen. And as someone going with the experiemental build, you opted in to that.

Oh absolutely. Admittedly at the time of writing the comment, the phrasing they used felt dismissive. However, given the benefit of hindsight, reading other comments and speaking to other creators, yes, we do opt in to the possibility of game breaking updates. Between my old steam account and my new one, I've played over 2k hours of 7 days and gone through several experimental builds, I should not be surprised at all

I've honesty had really good RNG with the infestations to get ammo (bad luck is, I'm specced into shotguns, not machine guns or pistols) .. with the books ... I think there's a total of 12 Crack a book POI's in this seed, and combined that with the nerd outfit to progress really quickly

Interesting. I've not been getting the trader quests when I finish a tier of jobs for the traders. I thought maybe they'd been taken out of the game. I just finished the tier 3 jobs too. Now I did tweak the biome percentages to give myself a little more snow and wasteland and a little less forest and desert. But not that much, and all traders are still present in the game. But maybe any tweaking disables the trader quests? Dunno, not a big deal anyway.

With the 1.0 release, the traders are all connected and a little weird. Each trader spawns in a specific biome, and each will send you to the next Tier 1 - Rekt - Forest Biome Tier 2 -Jen - Burnt Forest Tier 3 - Bob - Desert Tier 4 - Hugh - Snow Biome Tier 5 - Joel - Wasteland You can do the quests in any biome you'd like, but to get the trade route quest, you need to go to the specific trader, so they'll send you to the next one

@@LambiPlays Thank you for the info. I think I finished all the tier 1 quests via Rekt, but I didn't get the option of the special job to go toJen so maybe I didn't - can't remember. But I had a real sweet setup where I had a small town in the forest right next to a huge town in the wastelands, and Joel was pretty close to that small town. So I just jumped right into the wastelands for the trader quests. Using Joel would explain all the other missing trader special jobs.

They made it so you have to craft every thing .. although a T5 in the wasteland gave me a gyro chassis ... i do not mind the change as it was too easy previously to bypass the crafting and just buy everything you needed .. its means progression has slowed and it is now important to do full looting early to build up the supplies for crafting ..

I guess I've been lucky. I'm doing a V1 play though and so far I've been looting or buying better armor/weapons than I can craft. Other than the starting stone tools/weapons and a bicycle and now a minibike I've crafted nothing. I'm sure my luck will change sooner or later ;)
