How can I make my toy chest into a hidden retractable lift up and pull out laptop work station?

This doesn’t show how to use the other side. I’m doing a mantle where the front face opens upwards.

The written instructions are bad, and the video is just plain wrong. If you follow the video, the center point on the left hinge will be 2 1/2 inches, the center of the right hinge will be 3 1/4 inches. To make the template work, do NOT flip it around as shown in the video. Instead put it on the right side wall so that the little dotted line measuring 2.5” is leading to the back wall. You will need to flip your tape over. Then, do NOT look at the diagram on that side of the card! Instead, use the screw holes you previously made to drill your right hand screw holes. This will insure that your left and right side hinges are both 1.8” from the top and 2.5” from the back.

I lost the template. How do I get a new one? Is there a place I can download it?

How can you get support for this product? The information leaflet sends you here but no email address as stated? I’ve followed all the instructions and my lid just gets stuck open as another user said.

THANK YOU! All of the measurements listed on the installation card made it sound difficult, but there were zero measurements required. Piece of cake. :)

In regard to the Product Manual “Solution 1”-These numbers are inaccurate-not consistent with “Solution 2” or “Solution 3.” In regard to the Product Manual “Solution 2”-the template holes do not match the holes of the hardware. In regard to the Product Manual “Solution 3” (this video)-the initial install card placement does not follow the top edge directions printed on the card. My SOLUTION 4 is to use the install card to mark for a first pilot hole. Then align the hardware with that hole and mark for the other two pilot holes. Attach lower portion of hardware. Position door slightly less than 90° and use the hardware holes to mark the lid for those two pilot holes. Attach lid to closer. Works great then!

These are possibly the worst, most confusing installation instructions I have ever seen.

What are the length of the screws?

Hello, thank you for the video. How can I find the card? Is it available online pdf?

Instead of flipping the card like he did in the video, I did not flip it, and instead placed the same short back end of the card on the back of the chest on the second side, then used the holes created on the first side to determine where screws needed to go on the second side. Not sure that is correct, but it worked for me.

I wish it only took 10mins. The video is great and extremely easy to follow but my lid will not close fully it stops with approximately 10% (35mm) gap at the front edge

This video was made wrong. If you use the placement card on both sides then the hinge center is a different distance from the wall. Huge oversight.

These instructions are wrong. Two first two marked holes at 5 1/2 inches from top are parallel to top. There is no way with an offset of 3 3/16 and 3 11/16 from the left edge, that the two marked holes line up with the 3 drilled holes in the circular base plate. They are almost 1 inch apart. If the second hole, 3 11/16 from left is drilled at 4 15/16 down from top, then perhaps it would match base plate. Installation diagram sent with 200N is POS. It doesn't say if mesurements are to the edges of the base plate, or to the center of the screw holes in the base plate. Should the very bottom of the base plate be 5 1/2 inches from the top, or the bottom 2 holes be 5 1/2 " down? Instructions show dimensions to be 11 5/8 long with base diameter of 1 3/16. Item shipped is 12.25" long with base diameter of 1 7/16'". All I can say, is WHAT A PIECE OF EXCREMENT! The strut may work just fine, but it's impossible to tell given the inaccurate lousy instructions! Give offset measurment for the center axis of the circular base plate. I can line it up on that, and the three mounting holes can be anywhere on the radius of that center point, where they line up with the predrilled holes.

A super-helpful video that is so much clearer than the printed instructions that came with these hinges. For future reference, it would be helpful to update the included card template so that the hinge-placement graphic on it is shown facing in both directions (rather than just one) so that it can be used on either left or right as in this video. Otherwise this is an excellent product and very good value.
