You're lucky to have access to nature like this. Another great video, and especially nice with the mist / fog!

Amazing scenery! Love the drone footage, and nice to see what I assume is an Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Sport in action. I have the AdvancedFrame Ultralite, have paddled the AdvancedFrame, and have a few other AE kayaks as well (can be seen in the Advanced Elements playlist on my channel). Now subscribing!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the drone footage and recognized the AdvancedFrame Sport! It's been a fantastic kayak to paddle, and I’ve really enjoyed the experiences it's given me. The Ultralite and other AE models are great too-I’ll definitely check out your channel and the Advanced Elements playlist!

Hello. Was this footage mainly of the south end of the lake? I used to kayak and camp on the lake 40 years ago. It hadn’t been logged when the dam was constructed so lots of stumps where trees have broken off. The Corrections Service had, and may still have, a minimum security facility between Alouette Lake and Stave Lake and they used to corral floating wood and cut it up for firewood for local campsites.

Thanks for sharing your memories of the lake! Yes, most of the footage was from the south end, particularly near the Kearsley campground area. The stumps and remnants of trees are still quite visible-it’s fascinating to think about how the landscape has changed over the years. I didn’t know about the Corrections Service facility or their role in managing the floating wood; that’s an interesting piece of history! It must have been quite an experience to kayak and camp there 40 years ago when it was less developed.

Very nice Hong - wasn't it difficult walking in low tide? I remember having to walk in knee deep mud in order to get my kayak out of the low water areas, it was exhausting!
@lihl504 ай бұрын
Thanks! Fortunately, the low tide area was quite firm, so I didn't have to deal with any knee-deep mud. It was actually a smooth walk, much easier than what you described!

Great video. Did you first hike up the Baker Preserve and then get to the peak from there or did you come up from Aiston preserve. I am fortunate to live on the Island but don’t think I have made it to the official “Peak”.

Beautifully done video. We call Crescent Island the mystical Island. A beautiful mysterious island with sandy beaches everywhere. The kayak used in the video is exactly the same one we use each time we kayak on the Fraser River. Usually we kayak there in the summer or early Autumn. Every time we kayak on the Fraser River we seem to be the only ones there even in the middle of the tourist season - actually that is the way we like it. Have done KZbin Slideshows on our adventures there. Orland
