So glad to see your site, and finally have a resource to determine, before I order the mechanism, how long my threaded shaft needs to be. I intend to recess the mechanism 1/4-inch into my 5/8-inch wood clock face - leaving an actual thickness of 3/8-inch. How long should the threaded shaft be in order to accommodate the washer (if included) and nut? There will be no glass front, but I’d like to keep the hands as close to the face as reasonably possible. It occurs to me that you might prefer that I make this query in a text to your website. If so, please let me know. And thank you.

The trigger movement doesn't actually send an electrical signal to the chime unit, but it closes an internal 'switch' for a brief moment on the hour

Did you seriously just post a video promising to explain how to tell the different sizes of the quartz clock shafts and then absolutely not tell us where the measurement is?? I’m taking an old one out of my clock, all I needed to know was where to measure so I knew I was getting the exact same size that I needed. I can’t believe you could not be bothered with six different sizes sitting there to not tell us the size of all six of them so we knew what to replace. And FU for not bothering to answer anybody’s questions on what size they would need for the last couple of years. What an absolute waste of time 😡
