I agree that there was no 'stab in the back', but I gave the video a thumbs down because of your gratuitous remark that the Kaiser fled 'like a coward'. Had he not fled, he would probably have ended up like Louis XVI in France. If that didn't happen, he would have been tried as a war criminal & either executed or spent the rest of his life in prison.

....the National Socialists in East Prussia (region where I was born) seemed to have the only possibility of defending themselves against the bloody Red Bolshevik revolution from its eastern border with the USSR... hence the high support of the Nazis there, who in their propaganda appeared to be the only defenders of property, despite the fact that the region was live not only the people of German nationality......it seems to me that the attack on Poland was not caused by the problems of the German minority in the territory of the Republic of Poland (the Polish minority in the Third Reich also had problems), but by the fact that second Polish Republic stood in the way of the main enemy, which was the USSR for the Nazis... because after the death of Pilsudski, Poland did not want to join the Anti-Committee ( as Slovakia, Romania and Finland did it)... Poland at that time recognized the Anti-Committee as an enemy and thus became Stalin's defender/ally, the Nazis, in order to prepare a base for an attack on the USSR, took over the territory of Poland by force, treating this country as almost equally hostile as the USSR....

@@Barb7229 it’s simply explains what happened though you can have whatever take you want but it explains history. As soon as the war ended they tried just as they did in Russia to have communist revolution with Rosa Luxembourg who like Lennin was Jewish And they blocked the ships starving the population even more with a naval coup blockade after they finally got the war ones and insane wrongful punishment to stop . It was put down by Vets in the freikorps who the slightly left wing social democrats had no problem with letting this slide as it is truly the only reason they didn’t become the same as the Soviet Union. Some of those members became storm troopers later on and joined nsdap. Many of them had swastikas etc but nsdap didn’t even exist yet it was cultural symbol cause of the history of the Aryans with it. Which was emboldened by the German business man finding the lost city of Troy which was Aryan civilization thus had the symbols etc. They were payed only in food cause Germany suffered horribly from the war and the blaming treaties after that is was amazing pay. They redrew the borders displacing millions of Germans in places like northern Czechoslovakia,Poland, and elsewhere Leading to the powderkeg of Germany and the millions of Germans in these places fighting for reunification. And fear all over that the judeo-communists would invade and kill these Germans and everyone just as they did to the millions in Ukraine which is still fought over cause of this history today. I’ve read accounts of Jewish commissars mowing down churches of people children and all there. Hitler himself in the book talks about how he found antisemitism to be insane and wrong with whacky unfounded criticism until he noticed this. Thus I think it’s very important to note. This isn’t to say all jews ever were involved or something simply many were and it lead to them being hated for these reasons.

@@Barb7229 it is a blatant lie and not helpful to act like the NSDAP or Hitler appeared out of no where. Just wanting to hurt Jews. And does nothing to prevent people from being hurt again. It is like saying Ukrainians have no history or reason to hate Russia and dishonest. One can ask themselves if you replaced the word Jew with “White peoples” or “Amish” if they would have the same reaction or would be able to critically analyze such a historical thing without emotion and labeling as anti semitism or similar terminology. Which is the case which seems to point out instilled brainwashing.

In 1916 Germany had all but won the war. The German submarines had swept all the convoys out of the Atlantic Ocean and Britain had no ammunition for her soldiers and only a one weeks food supply. The French Army had mutinied in Verdun and the Russians were deserting the battlefield in droves and the Italian army had collapsed. Germany offered Britain a white peace to avoid any more bloodshed. Britain in the summer of 1916 was considering this offer seriously. While this was going on the Zionist Rothschilds in Germany who represented the Zionists from Eastern Europe went to the British war cabinet and said you can still win this war if we, the Zionists, bring the United States into the war as your Allie’s and in exchange you promise us Palestine after the war so we can establish a home for the Jewish People. This document is called the Balfour Declaration. The stab in the back is an indisputable fact of history and the yooden paid the price 20 years later

Granted, the history of German-Polish relations is complex and hardly a black and white story. But should you not at least mention that the expulsion of some 20 million Germans after WWII cost an estimated 2 million civilians their lives? (See the work of UN human rights scholar Alfred de Zayas, who calls the postwar expulsion of Germans from all over Eastern Europe one of the largest ethnic cleansings in history). As is so typical for modern German historians, you simply pass over this as if it never occurred.

I think you can think that Bismarck's skill and dedication to his craft was admirable whilst also acknowledging that he was not a good person and that it was inappropriate to glorify him. I have enjoyed movies and music made by incredibly terrible people, I can enjoy their works without pretending that they did nothing wrong. Also on the subject of paving the way for Hitler while I do think the nationalism he inspired in Germany made it possible for the third Reich to be created, the particular brand of nationalism that the Nazis used was a product of sweeping nationalism that effected Europe as a whole. I think he made Hitlers rise to power possible more through the creation of a unified German state than through the creation of any unique form of nationalism. In addition while I do think that both Bismarck and Hitler had pretty terrible and reactionary political views, I think they differed in how extreme they were. Bismarck in spite of his hatred of the social democrats and socialists, knew that it was rational to create welfare state in order to prevent those groups to break down the Kaisers doors. What he promoted was authoritarian but it was pragmatic form of authoritarianism that was while still evil ultimately understood the concept of restraint. Hitler on the other hand, was far more extreme in his nationalism, Hitler was evil to a degree where he actively went against his interests by declaring war on most countries in Europe. This lack of restraint ultimately did far more damage than Bismarck ever could. To be clear I agree with the idea that Bismarck was a terrible person I just disagree with the conception that Hitler is a direct Ideological descendant of him. I think he made Hitler possible without directly causing him if that makes sense.

This is one of those instances where I think a war, horrendous as it was, should have gone on for longer. Probably not as far as raising an enemy flag over the Reichstag, but had the Entente ended the war occupying substantial German territory on the left bank of the Rhine, and preferably also a piece of Bavaria (to illustrate the fact that Germany was surrounded), the absurdity of the stab-in-the-back myth would have been obvious to far more Germans. The Weimar Republic would have had more of a chance. And who knows, perhaps private Hitler would have had the chance to be sent back to the front and become just another statistic.

Saying the Kasier fled like a coward is kind of not true. He fled because the army told him to and the democratic government didn’t exactly want him around. Also Germany was dealing with many communist rebels all over the country, who wanted him dead and would have killed him. Even after those rebellions were crushed, he was blocked from returning to Germany. In 1933 the Nazis took power and they also didn’t like him. And by 1941 he was dead.

On a religious level, the German Protestant Lutheran Church could no longer import even Bibles or hymn books in German, believers having to use the ancients before 1914 even when they crumbled into dust! When a German Pastor gave a banal sermon on a theme like "deliver us from evil" Polish denouncers insinuated that he meant the Poles with "evil" and the Pastor was arrested!

Aye indeed conspiracy theorists like you don't pay attention to the facts indeed. The problem with this stereotypical argument is that they actually misunderstand what the stab in the back is all about, it's not that the Germans like Ludendorff believed in an absolute victory like you mentioned but it's the belief that the Socialist revolutions that did happen brought in leadership that would allow for such a brutal armistice, the Germans knew the war was lost but the big shocker was that the new government allowed such a brutal unfair and nation breaking armistice and later the Versailles treaty. The understanding was that the Germans would of fought until a more peaceful armistice would be agreed but with the new socialist government that wasn't allowed so therefore yes the Socialists who rebelled and established a new government at home did stab the back of your average soldier on the front (and as a reminder the German army was still in France before the war ended) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Revolution_of_1918-1919 Also I find your point about antisemitism interesting since you forgot to mention this Rosa Luxembourg- Born and raised in a secular Jewish family Karl Liebknecht-Jewish Kurt Eisner was born in Berlin on 14 May 1867, to Emanuel Eisner and Hedwig Levenstein, both Jewish. Paul Levi was born on 11 March 1883 in Hechingen in Hohenzollern Province to a well-to-do Jewish merchant family. Jan Tyszka, was a Polish-Jewish Toller was born in 1893 into a Jewish family The third child born to Siegfried Seligmann Mühsam, a middle-class Jewish pharmacist, Erich Mühsam was born in Berlin on 6 April 1878. I could go on this isn't even half of the list and you'll get a similar story if you look into the Russian revolution or maybe look into Marxes background too. Make of it as you will there is a strange connection between Jews and Communists and as we can see the Communist jews were the main figures of the revolution. odysee.com/@gregoryconte:2/Prussian-Socialism-Episode-21-The-Stab-in-the-Back-and-Treaty-of-Versailles:c

Saying that all the lost architecture in Germany during WW2 was entirely a "direct result German aggression" isn't really fair, since the Brits and Americans didn't need to excessively firebomb the shit out of German cities to win the war, and saying it was a "direct result of German aggression" kind of frees the Brits and Americans from their responsibility for their deliberate strategy of levelling German cites with the ground via the firebombing campaigns. It also takes away Soviets' responsibility for their mismanagement. The unfortunate fate of Königsberg was a direct result of German, British, American and Soviet actions, not just the actions of the Germans.
