Hudson's sections are, I find, among the best built (nice neat seam, good carbon work) and easiest to split and join. In fact, unless they specifically wanted you to deal with the couple of little scratches on the bow, I'm a bit perplexed why they brought you the whole boat rather than just bringing you the stern.

Quick question, some small section of my boat is soft when pressed compared to other areas. I suspect delamination underneath these soft areas (honeycomb Nomax no longer glued to the outer skin? ). I have researched online and found out the best way is to drill arrays of small holes in these areas and inject resin to glue the honeycomb back into the outer skin. Is this the correct way to do this? Thanks!!

Looks like it has been dropped stern first and feet down onto the floor. You can't buckle all the way around like that without damaging the deck carbon - it will be damaged internally even if the outer deck appears solid.

This boat has spent time in the UK - the TWK 301 code on the side means it used to be registered to Twickenham Rowing Club in West London, as a private boat. The seat is definitely CD but I'm not sure if it's a standard or made-to-measure pattern. H2Row shoes are also a giveaway.

Where would one obtain a “paint pen” as shown in the video?

Looks manageable for a strip and repaint, unless there are any soft spots under the scratches? Looking forward to some summary of the physical damage.

Several of our Empacher boats are somewhat older and have become very dull, as indeed this boat once was. I've tried several polishes without success. What do you recommend to revitalise the shine?
