I think the fretless Bass can be harder than slap bass in terms of tone...there is a very wide range of sounds that are just great to any kind of music. In this particular vídeo I am using 100% the bridge pickup, new strings 0.40, compression and a higher string action. There is more to be said but I guess this is the starting point 🙌 thank you. @@FernandoPetryBASS wow i have so much to learn...i think it's that feeling of overwhelm that gets in the way of my commitment. I watch amazing bass players and think " I'm just not good enough" but really I know that not to be true. I studied music to a university level , have an excellent ear ( i can hear and play new lines within five minutes) have played professionally in bands and also practice vocal toning and sound-healing so my only excuse really is commitment. True what you say about slap and the fretless...i use my fretted Ibenez for slap and the fretless is for more melodic/expressive stuff. Jaco Pastorious was a big influence on me as well as many bands from the 80's (Devo in particular) Am sitting down now with the first slap lesson in your course....little bit EVERY day , I guess ! I know that in a parallel universe I have a 10 piece funk /jazz band that is doing very well...have visited that universe in a dream and met my "other " self and watched one of my gigs...when I woke up I could remember all the songs in the set and actually managed to jot down a few of the basslines and keyboard parts but they soon faded from my memory....I want that here in this reality.....thanks again
