Enjoyed watching your video Ali 👍. You don’t seem to have much luck with locked hides do you 😂. Remember the latch at Tophillow . Must be very frustrating when you get all the way there only to find out you can’t get in 😞.
@alimarleyphotoАй бұрын
Thank you Stephen, I really dont gave much luck at all, I dont think I will ever forget that latch haha. I was more frustrated that I hadnt been told especially since I asked if anything had changed etc.
@StephenCadwallader-31Ай бұрын
@@alimarleyphotoyou probably had a young apprentice that day was more interested in there phone and nothing else 🤣. Definitely frustrating especially after asking it’s not like it’s a few minutes walk back. Better luck next time if you ever decide to go back.

Stumbled across your channel looking for Far Ings videos as it is somewhere I am looking to go in the near future. Really nice video, you saw an awful lot from just one hide, such variety and the Harrier photo with the Humber Bridge in the background was really cool.

its very quiet for small birds at this time of year - it's the same every year where I am at least. Great videos of the notorious hogweed bonking beetles (red soldier beetles). I never see them doing anything other than that, and at the moment they're photobombing most of my butterfly photos. Great spot with the praticole - I think we all need some of that luck.
@alimarleyphoto2 ай бұрын
Thank you, it really has been quiet with the small birds lately, I loved them beetles and could of watched them for hours, its a shame they photobomb your butterfly shots, that normally happens with gulls with any other bird shots. I still cant get over my luck with the Praticole :)

Hi Ali...I've watched quite a few of your vids now and enjoyed them all. Your photos are always lovely but you're right to pay yourself on the back for these, especially! You've absolutely nailed every one in that final set, mate.... brilliant! 😍 I'm off to Bempton next week and hopefully Farnes in first week of August. Your vids have helped loads. Keep em coming 👍👍

Thank you, Oh please do make time to go to Gigrin, it really takes your breathe away to see it in real life.
@alunlambert74563 ай бұрын
Great Vlog as always, Gigrin is a great place, but if you like it you really must try Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre, it’s near Aberystwyth. It’s amazing for feeding the Kite, they do it in front of a lake, and the great thing about this place is you only pay for parking. And further south is Llanddeusant Red Kite Feeding Station, I love this little place costs £6. Cash only, great shots with the hills in the background. Well worth a visit. I did love Gigrin, but they seem to charge way more than all the other place. Keep up the great videos, thanks
@alimarleyphoto3 ай бұрын
Thank you, oh I will look them up and will try and do a stop at them when i do Skomer next year, feeding in front of a lake sounds stunning.
@malcolmfarley19583 ай бұрын
Wow great footage and images captured there, I will have to take a trip there myself it is less than 2 hours from where I live, It looked manic there can you move around the area there or do you have to stay in the hide ?? also what do you use for the camera info overlays on your slideshow ?? great content thanks for sharing.
@alimarleyphoto3 ай бұрын
Thank you, its definitely worth a visit especially if you are less than 2 hours away, we pay for a hide where we are in, there is a feild view, I have never used the field to view but I feel it would be too far away, there is also special photo hides, but for me I have only used the normal hides as i go with my hubby who doesnt take photos so paying for him to be in a photo hide doesnt seem worth it, I am hoping to be going back with a photographer friend so we might try a photo hide that time.
@alimarleyphoto3 ай бұрын
Also i put the overlays on via the video editing software, I use capcut and just type it as text, but i have them saved as a preset so i just need to change the text each time.

Great Video, to pick you up on a little technicality.. in the opening sequence at the first hide the black-coloured bird with the white on its beak is a Coot, and the Moorhen has red and yellow on the beak,
@alimarleyphoto3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much, I can’t believe I put the wrong one 🙈 I do actually know that was a coot, blame the lack of coffee the morning I was editing the video 😂
