The reason is that people can't afford to go out any more. The ravages of inflation. Household budgets are squeezed so tight for everything that people can hardly get by any more. And restaurants have to pass along their increased costs of food, wages, rents, utilities, taxes, etc. Yesterday I went to McDonalds for the first time in three months. In that time, the price of just ONE, single Big Mac has gone up 7.5% to $5.79. Hamburger at Walmart is $7 a pound. We can't even afford food at home.

🎉🎉🎉 This video reminds me of a lot of things that I love about owning a couple restaurants. I did tons of catering jobs and it was the best to bring full bellies and great memories to my wonderful clients. Unfortunately here in California we /they have some strange attitudes of what to expect from us employers. I’ve had several law suits in the last 30 years or so that were just ridiculous. Most of them were handled by my insurance company. But just the pain and agony of going through them leaves a sting that will last forever. Coming up with new menus and new items was always fun 🤩. 🎉🎉🎉 I really feel for you. I started my first place when I was 22 years old and it was hard. It was a deli and catering company and I used to drive after work about 40 miles to go wash dishes at someone else’s place. But that was my college and I learned tons from that. My first full service restaurant I opened when I was 28 years old and it was kind of strange for the first couple years hiring people who were much older than me. 35 years later I am here and happily retired.
