Beautifully produced video. I've always loved the horses of Om El Arab and the great *El Shaklan was one of my favorite Arabian stallions. As a sire, he dominated Europe in the '80's and some of the most beautiful horses have *El Shaklan in their pedigree.

If the Pharoah's of Egypt rod this horses in the glorious days of the Egyptian civilization, why are they being referred to as Arabian horses when we all know that the pharaohs where not Arabs ?

They originated in the Arabian Peninsular. They spread all over the Middle East. An English woman Lady Anne Lytton, and her husband, Wilfred Scarwen Blunt brought Egyptian bred horses to CRABBETT PARK in England. The EGYPTIAN/CRABBETT bred became sought after for their consistency of TYPE.

Really, the Arabian horse should be known as the Egyptian horse. They were the kings of the ancient world and recorded them in there tombs. Bedouin’s we’re desert people , simple people.

There's a horse at William Woods University whose Sire is Baske Afire. Even though he didn't become quite as famous as his father and other siblings, he is still my favorite horse there and still very cute! I was lucky enough to be at the Cedar Ridge auction where he was sold. What a dream he was.
