I recommend getting an awl, it's the perfect tool for spreading an opening in crochet without harming any fibers. :)

I really love this about your patterns! I made the racoon once and it was really satisfying that all the parts were crocheted as one whole 😊

Really clever! Is this your own hack?
@StellasYarnUniverse3 күн бұрын
No, I saw someone who makes bigger cuddly toys use this hack a while back. Most likely it was @allfromjade. I almost forgot about it until it came up in a recent convo with a customer and I finally tried it on my small Amigurumi.

Could you fill it with yarn?
@jadefoxette86034 күн бұрын
Why would you want to do that? Fiber fill is squishier
@StellasYarnUniverse3 күн бұрын
You could. I often use yarn scraps as part of the filling to reduce waste. As @jadefoxette8603 said, it’s not as squishy, so I tend to use it to fill the center of the amigurumi and stuff fiber fill around it.

I just finished the little fawn and it turned out amazing! It was the first crochet animal I've ever made. I was looking for a greyhound crochet tutorial but I think I'll try to adjust your Chihuahua... I'm so new at this though.. maybe you could make a greyhound tutorial?? Maybe if I just give the fawn some dog ears and tail it will look like a greyhound? Lol!
@StellasYarnUniverse3 күн бұрын
Well done! It’s not easy to do as a first crochet animal. 👏🤩 I’m sure you could turn it into a greyhound by making slight adjustments.
