Thanks, that would be great. I was working off the piano sheet music for the Eve Of The War which was obviously not ideal, although I think it came out OK in the end. I thought of including the spoken word bits but decided my Richard Burton impression wasn't something the world needed to hear. I may have a go at Forever Autumn next. Again, purely instrumental: my Justin Heyward vocal impression would make you beg for my impression of Richard Burton. I was 14 when the album first came out. Awesome music indeed. 😊

The Vocoder bit at the end says "Please turn me over" as it was the last track of side 3 of the double vinyl record. It was asking you to turn it over to play side 4.

You are, of course, correct. I found out about the frequently misheard final Vocoder phrase a few weeks after I posted the song. If I were more diligent, I would have fixed the ending and posted a new version. I'm not and I didn't. 🙂

Thanks. It was a while ago but it was probably about 12-14 hours of effort over a few days. Most of the work was working out how to adapt the piano sheet music and adding in the bits that were missing from the sheet music, like the entire end section. I was pretty happy with the end result, even if I did get the final Vocoder bit wrong. 🙂

The bass drum is probably in the room where all the marching band instruments are stored. The kick drum is clearly audible in the track, albeit at 1980s levels, not ultra-compressed with the gain turned way up as tends to be the case in more "modern" mixes. :)
