@@livingformusic1000 I completely understand that you want to make your sound and that it should convey your feelings, but I believe that transforming a happy song into a sad song wouldn't be the most interesting way to do it. Songs are even made to change our mood and take away our sadness, if we are very excited we can play a sad song to remember that life is not just joy, and vice versa. Songs reflect our emotions and that's fantastic, but changing the meaning of a song to reflect our emotions I don't know if it would be a good choice... because you can influence people with that attitude. Think about it. hugs and kisses as we say here in Brazil.😉

For me, part of the fun in doing covers is experimenting with different emotions and interpretations, even if it means shifting the mood a bit.
