Would be great if you could show where R calculated overall, between- and within-study heterogeneity of 90, 59 and 31% respectively

What if the biomarker high values are related to no disease? I multiplied by -1 the cutoff column of the return value of ipd2diag function. However, i cannot use log transformation like this, right? What should I do? If i set log.transformation to false the calculations are made, but with negative numbers in the yougen plot. Also, i'm not sure if the result is reliable as the distribution is logistic but the value are not loged transformated

Thanks for your tutorial. I just have a question. How can we find out what model is appropriate for our analysis? "DICS" , "CICS" or ...?

The structure of the dataset (ie, name of the column, columns' disposition) must be the same of the provided examples? I need to use the metamedian function. Thank you very much

Thank you for this video, it is very helpful. However, I have a problem when trying to edit the netgraph. I have tried to adjust the cex.points based on the number of treatments, as you did, and the number of comparisons between studies for my network meta analysis, but it only gives errors. There is no problem when I run your example with your database, but I can`t do it with my study. Where did you get the n.trts function? This is the error message that I get when I try to use it: "Error in round(n.trts) : non-numeric argument to mathematical function". I have tried to use other functions but it only recognizes numeric arguments or "n" argument. Thank you very much.

Insightful lecture, I particularly liked the idea of brief video-guides / keeping recordings public and balancing review quality with teaching outcomes. Cochrane authors sometimes work on a shoestring with few to no resources though :)

I do not think you can automate research weaving. Several steps of the data filtering must be conducted by a human. Redundancies of author's names, countries, institutions, non-relevant references... It's as systematic reviews, for now, we still need a human, or the quality of the work will be questionable.
@esmarconf2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your comment - perhaps you could give some more specifics relating to your doubts/uncertainty about automation so that Elina and others can enter the discussion? Thanks again
@ms-xw9te2 жыл бұрын
@@esmarconf of course. Let's take authors list for example. You can have Murray Ryan Robert, Murray R Robert, Murray R, Murray R R and Murray Robert, and finally Murray R Robert which all refer to a same author. So you need a human interaction with dataset in order to conduct proper datafiltering... And here I am not even mentioning duplication conflicts from two different databases.
@esmarconf2 жыл бұрын
@@ms-xw9te thanks for elaborating your doubts. Kaitlyn Hair presented an automatic deduplication tool at ESMARConf2021 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/jX2Th3edrciIhKc) and various tools exist to automatically disambiguate authors (see direct.mit.edu/qss/article/1/4/1510/96105/Author-name-disambiguation-of-bibliometric-data-A). I agree that manual interventions are necessary still. And Elina states this in her talk, as you’ll have seen :)
