I’m always confused as to why some of my partners ask whether anyone is in foul trouble. What is the point of that? Are you going to give a player in foul trouble a break or somehow be influenced by how close he is to disqualification? I make the call and I really don’t care until the table tells me that’s his fifth. Maybe I’m missing something.

I don’t agree. As a complete amateur, I’ve been able to make an occasional 3 throughout my life. I’ve never been able to dunk.

Agreed,, long range shooting requires more skill than dunking. If you are tall enough it's almost impossible not to be able to dunk.
