Nice video, a few tips, while using carb cleaner wear safety glasses and rubber gloves, when using air to clean things with carburetor removed, put a rag into the intake and vacuum line preventing old grass and dirt into the motor. These carbs the choke often sticks, simply file 1-2mm from the plastic throttle shaft to prevent it sticking. Thanks

Can you do a little blip on the welsh plug beside the main cartridge inside the bowl (what it does and how to replace it when it drops / falls out from using air hose to blow out the bowl during cleaning ? No one else has done a video on that yet for these plastic carbs.

On flipping pressure washers. As the lawn mower season went by the wayside, I tried buying and flipping pressure washers. After 6 units I have decided that it is a waste of effort. If the pump is bad then the cost to replace makes only the free ones worth any time. Free ones with decent engines are too rare to take the time to look for them. The 3 that I bought in which the previous owner said that the pump was good but it wouldn't start all lied. Each had pump issues. Total waste of time and $120.

I have a Ryobi RY80940 3100 PSI pressure washer. It was last used two years ago, it's been sitting in the basement since. Engine runs but not full power & not much water pressure. The pump bypass valve nuts are tight, the spring is really heavy duty, I detected no valve shaft movement going from trigger pulled to released. I used a socket wrench & tapped the big nut with a hammer, no movement. I suspect the shaft is ceased, have you seen that? I up ended the pressure washer & I'm presently soaking the spring base in WD40 (several times already), there's a trough there & the WD40 appears to be soaking into the shaft bearing. I'll check for movement again tomorrow.

We also own a 032 AV with the "Made in West Germany" print. I am looking for a video that shows how to change the fuel lines. One line collapsed and chokes fuel getting to the carb. If I spray fuel directly into the carb, it runs and sounds great, but chokes out after a few seconds. It is my "go to" saw for big limbs already on the ground. I recently purchased a magnet on wheels to help me find even the smallest metal parts I am constantly dropping on the ground. Harbor Freight has these rolling magnets for a great price and I honestly recommend them. I found even the smallest parts I dropped into four inches of grass. Also, you're not giving yourself much room to work! Thanks for posting this great video.

i'm now on my third carburetor on this Toro with the briggs and statton plastic carburetor. I've tried drilling and making the main jet hole bigger but that still hasn't solve the surging and hunting problems. The fuel is fresh with additional seafoam and has new plug and oil. I've been repairing small engines for 40 years and these plastic carbs and a nightmare. The engine i'm working on has the auto choke system and after the third carburetor i think i'll inform the customer that they need a new mower.

If I spray those rubber o-rings with a carb cleaner I immediately rinse them with water, but then I rinse everything with water after I use carb cleaner then use an air compressor

And also those gas caps need to vent mine would start run for a few minutes then die and it was the gas cap not venting creating a vacuum stopping gas flow

My brother gave me one of those lawn mowers - he thought his employee had ruined it with bad gas and told me I'd probably have to buy a new carb. I went online - and cleaned it. Now I clean it about once every year and a half - it starts on the first soft pull all the time and runs great!

Sorry pal .. Do not use Carburetor cleaner. It can ruin rubber pieces such as.. purge ball red seals. Seals in float jet .. melts them...!!!! Little 2 cycle oil in some fresh gas as a cleaner works better.

Not only will carb cleaner strip the paint off of everything, if you get it in your eyes it will make you go blind. Ask me how I know. Five years blind from carb cleaner spray before I got both my eyes fixed with surgery. Throw that shlt away, it's the most dangerous tool in your garage. Even more dangerous than a handheld router, hand grinder, or table saw.

And if you plan on cleaning sidewalks or driveways buy a turbo tip number one for about $30 and if you can throw a few more dollars down by a surface washer, you won’t believe how much faster easier and cleaner it will be the save tons of water

Thanks for the video it was very informative and helpful. In my opinion I won’t use a power tool to reinstall small screws for you’ll have a tendency to break either the plastic part or break the screw. Invest a rubber mat for the top Pfizer your tool tray box.

Hi, great tutorial thanks! My old 032av is running rough when I give it full throttle I have no idea what the problem is I took it to a Stijl dealer and they told me the saw had air leaks and wanted to sell me a new saw? I doubt it’s anything too serious as the saw has only been used a few times each year! Replaced the plug and car I still running rough! Any advise would be appreciated haven’t checked coil but spark seems ok? Cheers

Good possibility it leaks. You can pressure test it and replace leaking seals but you are looking at a complete teardown. If you don't do it yourself, the repairs will be pricey. Probably why he tried to sell you a new one.

Those same engines without the primer bulbs have a thermally controlled choke. When you remove the air filter housing you'll see the red o ring gasket. That small round hole to the right is the vent to the float bowl. Inside the carburetor is a welch plug with a small opening that allows the air in. If you look carefully during assembly of the back air filter housing to the carburetor you will see a small gap between the housing and carburetor where the o ring doesn't make contact allowing dirt to enter the float bowl. I discovered this after constantly finding dirt in my float bowl after just a short running period. I placed a tiny piece of foam from an old filter in that gap upon assembly and never had another issue with my carburetor. If you do this make sure you don't totally block air from getting in. I don't know if this is the same with the primer type carburetor but it would be a good idea to check. Avoid carburetor cleaners on all the rubber o rings as it will make them swell and complicate reassembly. It doesn't hurt to drill out the jet as shown in this video just make sure you only go one size bigger than the tightest bit before drilling or you'll have the opposite problem of a rich fuel mixture and black smoke from exhaust.

Took metal off blade for an unbalanced condition due to excess grass deposits? Blew off machine too late. Needs to be first thing. And most important, put a lot of time into an engine that could of had a broken rod which was why it is on the side of the road
