@bluezodiac6329 Energy? I said garbage. This is what you get from artistes who aren't serious about their career and choose to be cheap . I would def get my money back for this trash show.

In fairness, he was never a fantastic singer. In his own words, he just "speaks tunefully".

I once directed a play called "Veronica's Room" by Ira Levin, which is set in immediate aftermath of the 60's, and it's about a young lady who is basically lured into a room because she was told by the caretakers of an old house that she bears an uncanny resemblance to a girl who grew up at the house (Veronica). Horrific things occurred thereafter... but anyway, music of the period was used just a little during the performance and in the preshow music. But I was not familiar with this song, which is unfortunate because it perfectly encapsulates the themes of the play, whilst adding to the sense of mystery. Or it "bears an uncanny resemblance" to the play, if you will.

This is not just the best video recording left by Kevin Ayers on KZbin. It is the best thing on KZbin full stop. And it is, in my opinion, the best outstanding recording of the best song Kevin Ayers ever wrote.

I've just had a thought. Mike really shouldn't be using his own name because, in reality he is acting out the role of an American Jump Blues/Rock n Roll etc performer. Think of him as a tribute artist. I would argue that he should have invented a name for the persona he has created. Now, if that explanation is confusing, think of Reg Dwight who created the persona of an American rock artist and came up with the name Elton John to project his creation.
