my backpack sprayer already has the 11/16" thread on the end of the wand. you go from 3/8 (Wand) reduced to 1/4 then expanded to 11/16, why do you add a reducer? then expander? just for pressure?
@culturalpractice60952 жыл бұрын
The reducer isn’t for pressure. In the video, my wand isn’t angled and to use the TeeJet quick disconnects, I still would’ve needed a female to female 3/8” to 1/4” coupler for the male 1/4” TeeJet angled adapter. In your case, if you wanted to use the quick connect adapter straight to the end of your wand then you can do so. I don’t believe TeeJet makes a 11/16” male to male angled adapter though. Hope this helps.

It worked well. With a bit of adjustment of the amount of pipe thread tape and torque applied to the brass piece, the initial slow leak was fixed. This conversion is really useful, thanks.

Thanks for your feedback, I can work on being more concise. All of the parts mentioned in the video and in the description fit properly. Is there a specific step that you need further clarification?

Will the 3/8 pressure reducing valve work on my Kobalt from Lowe’s?
@culturalpractice60952 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I’m unfamiliar with Kobalt’s line of backpack sprayers and don’t know the size threads the sprayer boom accommodates.
@michaelzielinski77032 жыл бұрын
Ok I got it! So for the Kobalt, you don’t need the 45 degree elbow piece. I unscrewed the existing nozzle and the whole quick connect system works perfectly.

You have no idea how helpful this was. THANK YOU! I have a new Flowzone and I bought many new Teejet tips along with the QD caps. Not one video actually showed how to connect the QD's. They never showed you need that adapter. I called the sellers and they said just push harder because the Oring is new. lol Now it makes sense. Have one on the way thank again! I didn't buy the valve BTW. I bought the strainer with 5 PSI check valve. In theory when you let off the trigger everything in the hose and wand should stay and not leak out.

Man do you have Facebook? I could use your help. I bought everything you did and its not going together like you show. You can find me on Facebook Dustin Greenway.

I’m unable to find you. You can find me on Facebook though in the Southern Lawn Syndicate Facebook page. My name is Cameron Smith and you can find the same post I made about this there. You can comment on that post since they may be others who are having trouble too.

The brass part you used US NOT the brass part you linked in the description. That's the only mistake.

Can I not use the angle piece that comes with the sprayer?
@culturalpractice60953 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately no. The Chapin 45 degree angle elbow is 3/8” on both ends. The Tee Jet elbow is not and reduces from 1/4” to 11/16” to allow for the quick disconnect for the nozzles. Hope this makes sense.

@@Dustin-rb8mp all of the nozzles that I listed have wide spray pattern. If you’re using a PGR that has trinexapac-ethyl (T Nex or Primo Maxx), it is absorbed through the grass foliage and you should use the XR11004-VS that has will create fine droplets. If you’re using a PGR that has paclobutrazol (Trimmit), it is root absorbed and you should use the AIXR11004-VP, since that nozzle is air inducted it will create larger droplets and can penetrate through the soil. If you want more information on other Tee Jet nozzles and or if the nozzles I showed in the video aren’t applicable to your program use this link for more information (www.teejet.com/CMSImages/TEEJET/documents/catalogs/broadcast_nozzles.pdf#page=5) Hope this helps!

Which tip would you recommend for a liquid fertilizer r application on lawn
@culturalpractice60953 жыл бұрын
@@johnhenriquez3868 depends on how the fertilizer absorbs into the grass. If the fertilizer calls for a foliar application then use the XR11004-VS since it’ll be a fine mist. If is a soil application use the AIXR11004VP since it will make larger droplets.
