This video will help my students more self confidence. She explains this well and gives concrete examples.

A considerably absorptive teaching on professional significance of the symphony between body language and the message to be conveyed. Symphony creates a very positive impression for years after while its lack generates a sense of betrayal unfortunately for years or a lifetime. On this very impressive presentation I well remember my model mentors at school who impressed and also those who left me with a lot of unanswered questions, even my fairly advanced age now. Famba Zion. God bless you profoundly in Jesus Mighty name.

Outstanding! I hate when p[eople start talking and cut the sounds of letters while they speak and start in a normal tone of voice and keep lowering it as they go. Then you get the "Speedy Gonzalez", who speak at 100 miles per hour, especially these young customer service reps, they speak so fast, as if they was a fire somewhere.

Hi Gilda, I teach at the Education Faculty of Bologna University in Italy and yesterday started a new course with a group of teacher trainees keen to teach English to kids in “Scuola Primaria” here. Much of the thrust of our course in on acquiring a good, intelligible pronunciation - often difficult for native Italians whose language has a more delicate phonology. I hope you don’t mind me using your excellent video to point out the differences in the sound of standard American and British English. In our first session we also worked on introducing yourself with a slight variation. I get the students to interview each other and then introduce their partner to the class to highlight the switch from the 1st and 2nd person singular to the 3rd. So thanks again for this and I’m plugging you as an excellent mentor for my trainee teacher students. By the way if there’s anyone out there who also teaches English to kids, do check out the free action songs on kzbin.info.

Thank you for your comment and I'm glad that you find my videos helpful for working with teacher trainees. I also speak Italian and know how challenging the pronunciations differences in English and Italian can be! Feel free to reach out to me [email protected] if I can help you and your students.

Practice makes perfect when it comes to introductions! Thanks for sharing. Our introductions are also first impressions of ourselves, so we need to do our best with it!

Thanks for the practical tips and insights! I especially liked the point about confronting the fear - analyzing it to “take the teeth out of it.” It’s so true that we often focus on the worst-case scenario which would rarely happen in reality.
