it was most likely when replacing the keyboard you have to break the lugs off that attach it to the case, they glue the buggers on. so when you put the new one in its only sitting in place, its not latched in, makes typing feel weird.

I really want some more affordable lapdocks similar to the HP model to be released. If it wasn't as expensive as an entry level Surface Pro 4 it would be a lot more tempting for many people. Off topic a bit, but to check the firmware of your display dock do you just need to open the Gadgets app whilst your phone is connected to it?

The solution is NOT to use the included Charger and use a 5V 2A Micro USB charger into the Micro USB port. It sucks because you lose the OTG functionality this way but at least it is more stable. My tablet was still faulty as occasionally it will boot and the touch screen will not be recognised or be very erratic anyway outside of this. Hence why I did an exchange for a slightly worser Ainol Innov8 with terrible WIFI reception and drivers.. :(

Hi Ben. I have same problem. I tested it in a different connector（6V 2A for vido N70 tablet). It did not happen. I use tablet while charging,　100% charge start, use 1 hour, after 100%.

Aoki Taka Hi - did you use the Micro USB connector to charge like the mobile phone? Or did you use the Pin connector like the original? Everyone on here has almost concluded that it is a design fault with the included Pin connector that causes these issues.

Holding in hand does make it a little better in sensitivity. But still very frustrating to tap the screen quite a number of times before it will do what you want it to. arghh..

I try and not update Windows anymore for these reasons alone.. Windows update has killed a couple of my machines before requiring reinstalls.. I do not trust it anymore.

Thanks for that. The link to the firmware on this site is password protected - click the icon on the top right "免费下载" and it goes to a password protect cloud based online storage. There's nothing on the page that indicates what the password is. Not only that, when you read the instructions, it requires that you have to have a USB keyboard (to F7 into the firmware), a USB stick to put the firmware on, and lastly it requires a USB hub since you need to plug it all in at the same time. All this to update Windows on the device (basically thats what the WIM file is - a new install of Windows).

I have already sent an email to Banggood on this and they have come back with some offers of trying to get it fixed locally and they can fork out the repair bill. But the problem is, the device has a manufacturing issue - not firmware or software related. I downloaded this other app to test the Touchscreen and it will get confused with more than one finger at a time. Furthermore, the device sometimes boots without a touch screen at all. This is extremely frustrating. I will put down an order for the Toshiba Encore instead of this today. They are running out the prices and only a bit more expensive now than this. Hopefully Banggood will refund me, or I will have to take it to Paypal for further action of a dispute.

Thanks Alan. I've tried it with a 2A USB charger and it surprisingly does charge and doesnt cause these issues. However, the screen is still very erratic and I'm getting the occasional boot into Windows without detecting the touch screen at all. furthermore, I find the screen to be very insensitive in comparison to my Samsung Ativ Pro as an example or an equivalent Windows Tablet.

Yes it does charge it. However, I do still need both charging and USB (keyboard/mouse) so this is not going to work too well unless I find a working OTG hub or splitter that will charge and USB.

Normally when you get erratic behaviour like that or being placed street away means that you do not have a full lock on (minimum 3-4 satellites) GPS but rather on either WIFI or 3G triangulation which modern phones default to before a GPS lock is established. These only give approximate locations which can be up to 100m away from where you are exactly. A true GPS lock puts you at worst 10m away from where you are at. I'll see if I can do another vid comparison to show accuracy of Sygic (which I have purchased and loaded on all three) but so far, neither the W8 nor the T11 has skipped a beat.
