Great you’re getting into this. I’ve been at it 50+ years and still working almost daily to hit the middle. I see you are slapping/ punching the trigger. Not to be rude to you but in the long run it’s not a good way to execute a shot. Here’s what’s happening- the brain can’t do two conscious actions at the SAME TIME. So when your pin is in its smallest float pattern which you’ve been consciously active with mental and physical focus you suddenly have to change your thought to moving that finger as fast as you can. You have lost your down range focus and in that 1/4 or 1/2 of changing your pin is 99% not where it was as the bow fires. You have lost continuity AND control of the shot process. The punching may not show up at 20 very much but 30 plus the deviation of the pin moving off target ever so slightly is multiplied. At 40 yards this could be 4-5-6”? Been there done that. I was lucky many years ago when a multiple time Champion Texas State indoor competitor showed me how to set up and use a trigger a much better way. Look up “ bow only outdoors “ on KZbin and watch his learning video on a trigger release setup and how he uses it. I know and guarantee if you will try it for a hundred serious shots you will be in control. Or watch John Dudley using his tension activated “ switchback “ trigger release. GOOD LUCK!

I love shooting archery! Thanks for noticing... I've always been somewhat of a slapper lol. I'll have to check that video out. Also I plan on trying the new types of releases and seeing the difference. Thanks again... Always open for tips!

I’m thinking it’s going to take a hootershooter on a windless day. At that yardage the arrows would need to like within 1 or 2 grains weight? I love messing with stuff like this. Arrow weight, FOC changes, vane count, shape and different materials, bow draw #’, etc. I’ve learned that it may not be necessary to have a bow set at max draw weight at all to get better downrange results on a particular arrow build. I’ve seen people that just have to have the bow maxed out period and can’t understand why the grouping isn’t good. Just gotta use a certain brand shaft etc. I think they don’t understand that somewhere in their equipment is a hiding combination of these things. Just gotta mess around some.

You're mostly likely right about the hooter shooter lol... I figured if there was a huge difference then it would definitely show is face at 100 yds, and didn't see enough to switch to 4 fletch without helical. For a average/below average shooter like me anyways. Working on a FOC video now... Thanks for checking out the videos though!!!

Ever noticed actually scoring adds a little pressure to beat your buddies? And how a club course results is totally different than the shots you make at your home practice range? You can’t hit 10’s and 12’s at home but what happens at the club shoot? ( the music is distracting guys)

Absolutely adds pressure lol! Makes it all fun. I appreciate the feedback.... You think I should lower the volume of the music, or take the music out of the next videos..?
