Does the 2024 gsxr1000 have a Qs and auto blipper ? What is the proper way to down shift?
@thelants856912 күн бұрын
Hey there, Yes it does. QS is up and down. The best way to downshift is to let off the throttle completely and then shift into the lower gear. If you try to downshift while you're on the throttle still, it'll feel a little jolty, so definitely get used to being off the throttle. I've had my gsxr 1000 for a few months now and absolutely love it after upgrading from the 750

Traction control is there to save you when you bike is taken past its limits , I usually ride A3, on the track it has saved me a time or two where it kicks in where the tires would have slipped out. Setting a higher value like 9 does become a challenge as kicks in far before the bike would have become unstable. The bikes anti flip function is always on no matter what the traction control setting are, you can still wheelie fine - but have to put traction off. on Traction 3 and i race , the front end of the bike lifts the front tire about 15° off the surface, no matter how much power it limits and hold it there - Trust me supreme power , the only sports car which challenges me is Porsche GTR 3

What do u mean the abs wont let you brake in time ? I thought abs broke harder but took over completely?
@chase1up_2.03 ай бұрын
@@lynxeffect84 after doing research on this myself, I found out that ABS is supposed to help you break as hard as you can without locking up the rear, but most of the time it overcompensates and makes the brakes too weak and plus other scenarios throw it into the mix like rear tire lifting off the ground from heavy front brake or lean angle makes the breaking capabilities even worse. I would prefer to be able to fully lock down my brakes if needed and then manually adjust myself from there. owners manual it actually states that it may not break as quick as non-ABS bike which is very bizarre They would admit that.
@ridingtherr05023 ай бұрын
@@chase1up_2.0 This is true as abs would only help preventing the lockup by pulsing the brake pressure, which would not be as smooth as non ABS maximal braking, aka threshold braking.
@Techii963 ай бұрын
@@chase1up_2.0 Have you ever actually hit the brakes hard enough to lift the rear tire up? And would you be able to do that in a panic situation? If you brake properly ABS will barely cost you any braking distance. If you just hit the brake hard in panic the ABS interference costs you quite a bit of distance compared to good threshold braking, but on the other hand if you hit the brakes like that without ABS you just crash.
@chase1up_2.03 ай бұрын
@@Techii96 if you need ABS to keep you from crashing, you need to reevaluate how you’re riding. Like I said ABS is nice for cruising around but when you’re racing, I want to be fully in control instead of my bike, trying to decide how much breaks it’s going to take away from me depending on the situation. I’ve been riding / racing for 10 years and never needed it before. 👍🏻
@Techii963 ай бұрын
@@chase1up_2.0 I never needed it aswell and my machine lifts the rear wheel before the ABS intervenes but I have also never been randomly cutoff where I needed to brake hard to a stop without being prepared for it. I take the 1-2m extra braking distance of the ABS for the comfort of knowing that it might save me in case I ever do panic.
