Thai Gripen is older version while Philippines FA50 is newer version with new sensors and radar likely have better fire control systems. S Korea is known to have one of the best fire control systems in the world leading electronics. Recent dog fights between Thai Gripen and Philippines FA50 in Pitch Black war exercise prove that FA50 can shoot down other bigger opponents with right pilots.

Not a non line of sight the nlos is modernized tammuz pickup/vehicles mounted long range ATGMs, this Chinese ATGMs has the same engagement profile of spike extended range, but the missile comes in different design from the spike...

If it follows the "trajectory" of other current Chinese weapons, it will be near worthless. Many countries buying Chinese weapons are not satisfied and are regretting it. Poor design, quality control, and after sales support is giving the Chinese a very bad reputation.

On the contrary, this ATGM uses an uncooled IIR sensor, which is a significant upgrade over the US-produced Javelin ATGM, which uses a cooled sensor. Many Ukrainian soldiers complained that the Javelin was extremely unreliable (defective batteries) and cumbersome to operate (it takes 3 minutes for the sensor to cool down, before the weapon is operable, for example).

@@toma3025 That doesn't prove ANYTHING to the contrary. A verifiable track record will, and the Chinese have a poor record. I would be money that these have made it to the Ukraine conflict to act as a real life demo for potential purchases. Time will tell.

@@matovicmmilan He doesn't have an answer, as China hasn't been involved in a war since 1979, so it's utterly stupid to talk about a poor Chinese track record. Regarding countries buying Chinese weapons, their biggest customer, Pakistan, has shown absolutely no signs of dissatisfaction and has actually spent the last decade moving away from US-supplied weapons to Chinese ones across the board, whether it's submarines (Hangor class), tanks (VT-4) or stealth jets (FC-31). You only have to look at the performance of drones in the Ukraine war, where the performance of Chinese *civilian* products (DJI) actually proved superior to that of US *military* suppliers (Skydio). I don't understand why people find the fact that the country with the largest annual cohort of STEM graduates, largest manufacturing industry and largest economy (in real terms) has a sophisticated and world leading military industrial capacity, so shocking or difficult to believe.
