@extremepyro624 Жыл бұрын
Let me guess,,,,,,,, You voted for Biden
@bradkaberline5828 Жыл бұрын
@@extremepyro624 no I'm independent man but what the hell does voting for anyone have do do with snow removal lmao wtf man why did Trump design a fucked up trailer idea lol just saying man I don't think I've ever seen Trump drive a truck he has a limo man or even operate a plow but I'm not mad Biden or Trump has never paid my loan or loaned me money man but thanks have you a great day besides got my own opinions Trump stands up for America but it doesn't mean I'm going to agree with him on some things but it's not political it's snow removal but thanks man but I'm not real happy with either party fighting like school children but I'm not a politician either but thank you and if Trump told me to pull that trailer and possibly hurt or kill someone I'd say no in a heart beat is a bad idea pulling a trailer possibly taking out a truck or hurting a driver. Not to mention all the tickets and if anything does happen with that trailer on icey rd conditions is coming back to dot and the driver not the manufacturer is just not a good idea a side plow would work just as good. The trailer could flip on a highway causing it to shut down completely or even lose control of it hitting another vehicle ect. As far as 2lanes at a time use 2 trucks one in front of the other
@extremepyro624 Жыл бұрын
@@bradkaberline5828 these plows are actually very safe. The drivers that use them end up loving using them because they take 2 lanes at a time. Like everything else they need to be used with respect an common sense. There given time to mess around with it to get use to how it operates an deploy to the right. These are actually safer for the public driving ,,there's no snow an slush splashed over in the other lane from traffic like a single plow. The public also drives with common sense when there around this,,,its intimadating for sure. Everyone is short on drivers these days. These are equal to having at least another truck an driver. Less salt is needed because it cleans so well. Normal trucks can't keep up with snows of an inch an hour,,,these do. I could go on with the benefits. These are truly amazing tools for snow removal. Lefties usually are ones to down things and bring public safety into play when it's really not a safety issue.
@bradkaberline5828 Жыл бұрын
@@extremepyro624 commen sense tells me trailers over turn in good rd conditions now add ice and snow to it them are not safe is an accident waiting to happen and a side plow would work just as good if not better no tire cost less maintenance and once again if that trailer jackknifes in the ice could take the whole truck out and possibly even hurt a good driver then down a truck and driver say what you will I'm not buying it. Then cause a very bad accident shutting the highway down then clean up crews have to fight the snow and ice to get it cleaned up lose of a truck that would be needed and all could have been avoided if you just used a side plow which attaches right to the side of the truck no trailer needed. Then if the truck does get crashed or driver hurt that means more work for the others to pick up the lost truck ect just more guys and gals that ate already sleep deprived having stay longer is a bad idea. Then if the driver is hurt what about his or her family? As far as the truck goes they get banged up anyways but the driver and other people getting hurt is a whole different story possibly even killed then the law suit that follows. But I'm not a truck driver I had a cdl but all the bullshit that it takes I'll stick to the equipment opperatoring I'd rather use a 163H OR A 14 OR 16 than a truck. Not to mention is hard to find good help these days no body what to do hard work get dirty if the don't come with a phone app. Now days new equipment operators can't do it unless it has GPS that not good sometime you have to do it manually
@bradkaberline5828 Жыл бұрын
@@extremepyro624 look at some of the new equipment remote control bulldozers stand our side the cab then bitch is to hot is to hard then get in the cab man and sit down and it has remote controls in the cab come on man. Then they think you don't like them or mad no I'm here to help ya I used a wood handle excavator and probe rod to spot utilities is not easy some days some days the ac didn't even work on it either man lol and the rippers was a yard rake them was the days there good ol machines one thing about them wood handle excavators though don't sit down in them the seat is probably very uncomfortable

Those tanks for ballast or is that where the liquified salt spray is coming from?
@extremepyro6242 жыл бұрын
Good question,,,The tanks haul the salt brine for spraying behind the tow plow. The weight actually does help some when pushing heavy/deep snow. But !!!! You'd like to have about 500 more horsepower 🤣

@@extremepyro624 - I'm a mechanic so that salt spray is not my friend.
@extremepyro6242 жыл бұрын
@@mark-1234 The media puts it out there that the salt brine is really bad and rusts worse than the rock salt. It's actually less concentrated than the rock salt. Brine is made by putting rock salt in a tank an agitation with water till it reaches 23% salt solution. Definitely better performance from it with less salt. I could write a book on salt brine. But I know salts salt and it gets in tiny places an rusts everything it can but its a tool we gotta use. Might have to do a KZbin video on salt brine now that I retired, I can say what I want :-)
@mark-12342 жыл бұрын
@@extremepyro624 - I agree the brine is used because it starts to work quicker and isn't blown around by wind but you're right, there's absolutely no difference between rock or brine in their effect on vehicles. It's an electrolyte and it greatly accelerates corrosion. (I've seen the undersides of vehicles after just one year of exposure and the corrosion can be significant enough to have to torch fasteners off.) No, I wasn't sure if those tanks were filled with water simply for weight, or brine. The spray made me think brine but couldn't tell if it was that or just the snow being kicked up by the tires.

How does it work? Not the plowing part but the moving the trailer back and forth. I live a few counties over and have never seen this.
@ph11p35408 жыл бұрын
+katillackilla It's called remote controlled crab steering. Trailer traction is helped on icy road with little chain spinners (They look like a weed wacker but with chains). They are mounted on the underside of the axil very close to where the pavement meets the tire. Similar system is employed by fire trucks as well in Canada for keeping traction on ice.
