As nice as the Edmonton home is and priced it’s Nick named “deadmonton” for a reason, absolutely nothing to do except drink, go to west Edmonton mall and sleep around

People in Vancouver acting like it’s an exciting metropolis lol. As a European Canada is a fucken village outside of Montreal so I’d probably pick the cheaper place to live so that I could afford to see the world. But Vancouver does have great access’s to nature and Edmonton has great access to daily nature cuz the river valley is impressive. Still very boring cities you’ll see everything there is to see in 4 days of walking around downtown Vancouver, it would only take a day or two in Edmonton but like living your day to day life when ur working for 40 hours a week (for the same wage in both cities) I’d pick Edmonton cuz at least I’ll have money. Public transit is equally mediocre in both cities but Vancouver does have better weather. Also it’s statistically proven that it’s easier to make friends in Edmonton because Vancouver is the loneliest city in Canada. But that’s my take I like both cities but people coping with the crushing cost of living by shit talking a cheaper more family oriented blue collar city is pathetic in my outsider opinion. Also the city of Edmonton seems to be doing a lot more for its residents when it comes to developing new city projects and investing money into reinvigorating the downtown core. If I was living in BC right now I’d be saving money for a nice down payment on a place in one of the south western neighbourhoods of Edmonton especially near the new valley line west lrt development cuz in 10-15 years time Edmonton is gonna get real cool and real pricey especially in the areas indergoing development. I spent 10 years of my life living in BC btw so my opinion has validity to it.

Compromising lifestyles...get a kick out of how the BC NDP think they can legislate affordable housing. That ship sailed when the foreign buyers showed up enmass after Expo during the 80s 90s 00s and 10s . Trying to unwind 40years of buying.

I lived in edmonton since 2002. Downtown is dead. There are too many homeless people, and u can actually smell urine all the time. For the good part is you can buy a penthouse condo for 1M
