That looks like a breeding ground for lots of sparks to burn the crap out of your knees. I need knee pads that I can strap to my knees. I do like the leather though.

I bought this jacket. Super impressed. I am an American living in Germany for over 20 years and have never been able to find welding clothes for women. The duty taxes were steep, but I don't care. The jacket feels fitted without limiting movement, leather panels perfectly placed. The back is thinner and is a savior in the summertime, letting me "breath" from the back and still protecting me from the front. Length is perfect, and as any female welder has found out, all men's jackets tend to be too long on a women's body and hug around the mid thighs, where most women are thickest, and arms too long. Only thing I wanted more was an inside breast pocket, but that is just a personal side note. I understand most women welders don't want any extra bulk up there ( me included), but my work pants hardly have pockets, so of course I am looking for storage in my jacket. Overall I just wanted to say thank you for providing women welders protective gear. I will be a returning customer.

OK, I'll tell you folks the whole story of the PIPELINER WELDING HELMET.----I don't know what year it was when the Pipeline Welding Hood first came out but I do know it was before the Trans Alaska Oil Pipeline was built. Hobart had come out with a new welding hood,it was White fiber glass, the window you look threw was a separate piece that was (riveted) to the front of the hood and the headgear had a white rubber piece of rubber band close to 1/2 an inch wide and maybe around 30 inches long.Well as the year's went by and the Trans Alaska Oil Pipeline got underway, that Hobart Pipeline Welding Hood started getting really popular and the Pipeline Welder's (local 798 out of Tulsa,OK) were wearing them (as well as the Pancake Welding Hood) .Then around the mid 70's give or take,Fiber -Metal came along and bought the mold and Patient Pending from Hobart and began making their own White,Grey and Blue fiberglass welding hoods and they were selling them up in Alaska for the Pipeline Welders. They don't make the white fiberglass hoods or the grey or blue one's anymore, now their made out of a New Material called,Superglass with a White Coat of Special White Paint on the front.

I had left out some information about the Pipeliner Welding Hood.----Back in 1980 I was going to pipe welding school and bought a Fiber -Metal Pipeliner Welding Hood made out of white fiberglass. After graduation and getting my first job welding pipe, I had left my white hood with my leathers and stuff under my tool box and the next night my white hood was gone.So a couple day's later I came across a FIBRE-METAL blue fiberglass hood, cleaned it up, put a updated version of the headgear with the rubber band part and that's what I used.Well I found out that the guy who owned the blue hood took my white hood and wouldn't give it back so I kept his blue hood which I still have to this day (and that was around 1981 and today s,date 2023.The blue hood has the original knobs on the sides to tighten and loosen and written on the knobs it says FIBRE-METAL all the way around and also the metal steel spring inside to hold the lenses in place is 100% original, so you might say that I got my original Pipeliner Welding Hood back (but it's not white).

You didn't even put the lens in all the way! First you have to remove the darkening cassette from the frame as if you were going to replace the battery's then slide the cheater lense into frame. The cheaters cover 75% of the viewing window. on a Viking 2450 series helmet...

Thank you for the feedback! In our video here we're using a 3350 but you are correct that the lens doesn't appear to be completely installed in the b-roll footage of this video.

No off switch which seems ridiculous, they tell you to take the battery's out when not using for awhile and even that is not a simple process.. Other that that it's a great helmet...
