Well deserves awards Melody & Ed. That tribute to them at the Emmy's was so beautifully done! If anyone hasn't seen it I highly recommend watching it. I'm just now watching the (May 2024) scenes where Jack tries to stop Nikki from drinking & relapses from his own pill addiction in the process & WOW both of them are doing amazing work in this storyline! 👏🏼 🤩🌟 I love how Ed values what Bill Bell brought to Y&R, We need that magic back.

I love Kimberlin's interviews. Its sad she sees the hate out there on social media. Don't attack an actor if you don't like the writing or the character. Sheila is a great villain. I really enjoyed seeing the Sheila/Lauren classic scenes that YR aired during the pandemic because most of those I hadn't seen before. I'd love to see more.

I can always separate the actor from the character. While I hate the character of Sheila, I love Miss Kimberlin Brown. Kimberlin looks like a whole bowl of fun. She looks like she would have me dying of laughter. She has loads of personality. Love Kimberlin, hate Sheila.

I loved Melissa's look at the Emmys. She looked very princessy & beautiful. Both of Abby's families have dramatic storylines right now but she isn't part of it. That makes no sense. Adam is the black sheep detested Newman & Abby is the forgotten Newman. Abby & Adam should bond as they are the family outcasts. They need to write better for her. I love the outfits she wears on the show.

It’s really shameful how Mark brushed past Tabyana, barely talking about her. He was quick to praise Evan, Eden and Giovanni (who has been on the show for a 2 months versus Tabyana’s 2 years on GH) He spent ample time praising Nicholas. When it came to Tabyana, he made the choice to cast her aside. It shows how Tabyana is not only a victim of misogynoir and disrespect from fans of General Hospital; but, also, with those in leadership positions behind the scenes of the show

What I don’t understand is why does some so called gh fans have to pick apart every aspect of the show. When mark talked about gh having auditions for a 15 year old possibly someone to play Jake’s friend. Fans on social media immediately went to Giovanni mazza and how he looks 15 but that’s just the thing he does look young but not 15. Also Giovanni is about 20 years old in real life as he just had a birthday last month so that would make him around josslyn and Trina’s age. I think whenever gh doesn’t do or cast someone fans approve of they make up stories about things that are not really there.

I would love to know why he cast a 38 year old actress to play Jordan, who is supposed to be 50! In other words, Tanisha Harper is currently 42 and she plays mother to Tajh Bellow, who is currently 28! That means Jordan was 12 years old when she had TJ? 🤪

Tabyana has one of the best casting stories, but yet the 30 year casting director could not see fit to share one but of it. Yet the other three YA she was pictured with, their casting stories were shared and their talent praised. Sorry, that was not a good look for him. I find it particularly interesting that Mark has difficult time looking for a recast. With 30+years of experience and him saying how he thinks he is a better cast director now than back when he started. This is the same Mark who flopped when it came to recasting a new Molly and went through several recasts. This just goes to show that you can obtain a position for decades but still fail. I would have loved to give Mark credit for finding Taby but you said nothing. No story for me to give credit. I'm just grateful to a God she found her way onto our screens and we get to witness her rise.
@AlanDavidDoane21 сағат бұрын
If Mark is failing at what he does, we should all be so lucky. He is not responsible for the crazy circumstances around the MOlly recast, and it's really shitty of you to blame him for it.

@@AlanDavidDoane Per his own words and title as casting director he alone is responsible for the duties of finding the talent. The responsibility falls on him. If me pointing out that fact with the example of his singular instance of a failure irritates you oh well. It is the truth and a fact. You're not going to like it. Okay, I guess the story of Tabyana Ali's casting must have slipped his mind. Well let me remind him because she deserved more than just a "Tabyana auditioned for the role she got" comment. There is a whole backstory to her getting this recast role after auditioning for it some 4 years prior when she was 16. He must have forgotten how they remembered her when the time came for the recasting of the role about 4 years later. How her talent, charisma, and that "it" factor had them casting her in a role that was always meant for her. He waxed poetic about every other young adult, including NAC, with whom she helped expand the juggernaut known as Sprina worldwide. The fact that this man could not manage more than the one line musing he made about her is just so disappointing and sad. Explains though why we are seeing what we are seeing when it comes to the character of Trina, especially over these past five months.😢

And look how long he talked about Gio who has appeared on screen maybe 3 times?
@AlanDavidDoane21 сағат бұрын
That's certainly a weird interpretation. He clearly meant TA got the role she auditioned for, she just didn't get it first. The troll campaign in the comments here is really uncalled for. TA is a great talent who took the role of Trina to new heights, and everyone knows that, which is probably why they didn't feel the need to go any deeper. Same with the mentions in this interview of Tony Geary, Laura Wright, Genie Francis and others. Stop looking for disparagement where it is crystal clear that none was intended.
