I have 2 abu Garcia 6500 bait casting reels and I love them I am very happy with them very smooth and the drag works wonderful when reeling in big stripers and flathead catfish

Sorry, but the fact that there's not a single Daiwa Tatula - Zillion or Shimano SLX - Curado on this list discredits everything being presented. They both manufacture THE top of the lines for all around use consistently. It's not even a question and I've owned literally every single reel mentioned. Abu started taking a dip in quality years back but seems to be bouncing back with a few good model releases.

Only the expensive reels from Abu Garcia are good, i got a few from the Max series, red max, silver max etc and i dont like them, the last one i bought, a Ryobi reel is much better, many more smooth!!The rods from Abu are good.

Shimano tranx 400 and Daiwa lexa tw 400 are the best hands down I see you just a fanboy Albert Garcia which I like but not even close to being the best

I would put the kastking ahead of that Abu Garcia red . The new Okuma odt would be ahead of a Plufger President in every way. Im gonna look at that Lews . I have a couple. They are hard to beat my Lews Crush is nicer than the Plufger President.

I can agree with some of this list because I have # 3 , 4 , 5 and 6. I don't have a St. Crox and probably will never pay the price for them. KZbinr i-fish say they are very whipy like a noodle or fiberglass and the designers should be fired. I trust him more than the maker of this video. The Finwick Eagle is a little stiff , but I really like it. It's very good when using small crankbaits. It is lighter than the Perigee 2 ultralight. The Perigee 2 is very well made though and the ultralight is not cheaper than the Finwick. I tend fish the Fenwick the most. I don't use the Ugly Stik GX 2 for trout fishing. Mine is a little heavy for trout. I have 3 of the Ugly Stik Elites . I couldn't pass up the sale on them. They're nice rods for sure. I'm not sure how the Ugly Stiks made the list. There's a lot of hate for them. Especially from the St. Crox people. I haven't tried anything from Cadance yet. I may in the future. The best budget trout rod out there is the Shakespeare Micro Series rods . I have a couple. At $20 they are better than some $40-$50 rods . They have no competition.

Anyone have experience with the Jordan lee. Im tempted to buy it. But im left handed. Walmart has it for 100 vs 120 everywhere else. But 70 for lefties. I have a feeling its cheap asf for a reason. Ik its a couple years old. Ao is it worth a shit. I have a300$ combo but im looking to expand Edit # abu garcie and lews. All else under 500$ is trash😂☺️🤷🏻‍♂️

I am sorry but the sougayling combo is rubbish!! You have missed the boat here. Shimano, Daiwa and even Piscifun make way better combos than these ones you list. Only the Abu Garcia combos are any good here. Ugly stick with a Shakespeare reel CANNOT be good at all. Just the low nymber of bearings gives it away. I enjoy your channel but this video is really not good.

Even though i really like the reels you discuss here, i don't think they are for finesse fishing. You should have looked at reels like the Shimano Curado bfs, or other bfs reels for light lures from Diawa, Abu Garcia, etc. I enjoy your channel, so keep the videos coming.

I actually just bought the abu revo as my first bait caster, actually. The seven foot rod is a bit much for my kayak, but I moved the reel onto a six foot rod, and I was able to get better results 🤝

I've been looking and learning about baitcasters but now i have some questions sbout it i loved the #2 and the shimano with computer but i am unclear about what lures,crankbaits weight/size that those can handdle, does it matter? Also if i can use them with braid line if you could help me i'll apreciate it so much, great video!

My Shimano Bass Rise is smoother and can cast lighter lures farther than every baitcaster on this list. And it only runs around $65 from Japan. Without question the best bang for your buck in my opinion. And you left Shimano off this list entirely...? The SLX might be one of the best selling reels ever made.

The Piscifun torrent II is available as well. I have 2 piscifun reels ( rhe carbon xcs and phantom). Both reels are stunning so the torrent II ill be good.

I'm truly amazed how trout and salmon, prior to 1967 when Ray Scott formed BASS, were the most sought after game fish species in north America, have now become fish that only warrant the cheapest entry level rods and reels for consideration in these product videos.

The casting reel has performed flawlessly, very smooth cast and retrieve, typical Abu Garcia quality.

Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzbin.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
