I read both of Jason's books and enjoyed them. Hearing him tell his experiences in his own voice brought a new dimension to his stories. I feel there is much more he has to share that can interest viewers. I was so invested in the interview that I was surprised when it had to end. Hillary's questioning was masterful and really elicited from Jason answers to queries that arose as I read his books. A good interviewer, a fascinating story.

Hey, Ms.Hilary I saw the videos on your channel. Your video content is excellent. To grow & increase the view of your channel you need to optimize your videos. SEO Score is very low. The title, Description, and Tags are not SEO-friendly. Videos are not shared on Social Media platforms and many other problems are found on your KZbin Channel. If your channel is optimized a little and if the videos are SEO friendly then your channel will rank very fast and your channel will grow. So immediately need SEO for your Videos & KZbin channel. Do you want to improve those problems and grow your KZbin Channel?

Doctors told parents to lie and never tell their child.
@GettingRealWithHilary7 ай бұрын
Here is a reply from Emma: Nobody LIED to me. To lie would insinuate that I had a question, I asked, but I was told a blatantly wrong answer. Simply, nobody told me and I never asked. I just thought I was gay when I got older because I thought like a woman, attracted to men. I was unaware there was more to the equation. But the reason nobody told me is because nobody looked at the whole picture so nobody thought it would ever surface. There was a major chance I would never have a period, upwards of 90%. There was a huge chance I wouldn't develop right then mix in adjusted genitals. If I didn't develop secondary female characteristics in high school, how would I know for sure. What was there to potentially question? I didn't go through "puberty" till I was in 11th grade, and I was 18. Nobody gave a second glance to the potential of my brain functioning like a female which it did and as it should as I am XX chromosome and I have the female reproductive system.
@pr3vail7 ай бұрын
@GettingRealWithHilary I understand. I'm just stating that even if you did ask questions, like I did growing up, doctors told parents to tell their child they were/ are normal. Asks to not disclose that they were born different. This should never happen. It causes a lot of trauma. At least our did for me. Because I knew I was different. I was just never told why. Until I was 18, and my mom told me what the doctors told her, and I tracked down most of my medical records. The first 3 years I was told were not available, because they were paper files and the hospital had a fire, and shut down. All this did to me was male me not trust people, especially doctors. Not saying you experienced this, just that a lot of up born intersex do. No surgeries should be performed until the child is old enough to know the truth about their body, and make an informed decision on how to proceed at that time. I didn't mean to offend you. I just believe that even though you never questioned it, you should have been told the truth about your birth from the beginning. That's all. Best of luck to you.

A fabulous interview talking about what can be done for dyslexia or dyspraxia, ADHD, dysgraphia, etc. A lot can be done!!! Loved her positive messages about the gifts, strengths, talents and abilities of neurodiverse learners. I collaborate with Rachel on The Kakamega Project (parent/tutor support for those supporting bright yet struggling learners in Western Kenya) As Rachel says, there are so many ways to envision and to support families and communities in all areas of the world and in different contexts. Worth taking the time to listen to the whole interview.
