Is it possible to plot maximum shear stress in the top part only and von-Mises stress in the bottom part in a single image?

I would like to point the shear stress from abaqus will be nominal/ engg. shear stress. So, the values that we will get for max shear stress will be nominal and where as eigen values can have logarithmic and nominal both. So, it will be worth mentioning that we will end up with nominal values.

In isotrophic mass why did you enter 0.075? The mass is given as 300 kg.
@kasondofuc265
@kasondofuc265 Жыл бұрын
That´s because he is using the ton/mm/s unit system, so 300 kg= 0.3 Ton. But as he is using a "4 symmetry" he divided the 300kg in 4. So you have 75 kg=0.075 Ton

I wonder why you take the pain to manage your model setup using HM while you can do it with Abaqus/CAE that is way much easier/faster/robust to prepare an Abaqus model ...
@EngiPRO1
@EngiPRO1 Жыл бұрын
Hi, imagine you have a huge abaqus model. I always prefer to use HM as it gives you many more possibilities. Imagine you want to modify your model by setting pretension loads. I mean you can do it as you prefer but for the kind of models I normally use it is far better HM

hello, i have done similar problem but a plate and sphere contact, the analysis look okay but im getting higher pressure and contact are in abaqus compared to analytical solution, any idea how to solve this? is it the mesh or something else?

You can do it in Hypermesh as well but in my case I feel that modifying the .inp file is faster but it depends on the step you are defining!
