I am really exhausted now.... I have watched 10 videos about this perfect "fits all sizes of women" pfd and all I have seen is size ten women and some rather flat chested "men" showing this to me. Please make a video where a women size xl with some T***s to boot, is wearing this, telling us how she feels about it. Because I sure haven't found a good pfd to fit me yet! And yes, us size 14/16 like to paddle too.

Hello and thank you for the comment. Do you live close to the shop? If so we would love the chance to remake the video with you? Unfortunately we only have flat chested men working here at the moment! I hope you found the video useful though. If you would be interested in helping re do the video please message back. Thank you.

This slicey boat thing is very trendy right now and that is a great thing, primarily for those with fat creek boats on steep creeks with nasty holes. Why so wonderful? It gives us a basically private boating experience. After a swim or two, the slicey boaters hike out.

Is it a bad idea to get a river runner like Pyranha burn if you just have access to sea and ocean? How much is the difference in terms of speed i like these river runner's because of the smaller size for storage the sea kayaks r a lot longer river runner's r not enjoyable for the sea and ocean to ride ??
@WWTCC
@WWTCC 2 ай бұрын
Hi there, in terms of speed the river runners are a lot slower compared to a sea/touring boat. You might be better having a look at a sit-on-top which would allow you to play on the waves and, depending on which model you go for, cover some distance as well. They are also more convenient for storage.

Reading the bumf online it states “blades feature a wide, flattened foam spine that simulates performance qualities of full foam-core blades. “ Do they feel buoyant like the Werner foam cores? I like a buoyant rudder 😅
@WWTCC
@WWTCC 10 ай бұрын
Hello, The foam spine is quite small, it gives the blade a tiny bit of pop, but now where near as buoyant as say a Shogun or Odachi. It does make the blade super stiff though which is really like. The spine is also nice and flat, it makes the blade really controllable when slicing it through the water.

Really like the looks of this for a "second" kayak...after the big box model, and you know you want to spend a little more without going crazy....My "daily paddler" is very similar ... but out of production. I'd love to try this out, as this looks like what I'd be wanting to recommend to someone new to kayaking.

Thanks, nice review. Two questions: 1) Do you have the weight on each to compare? 2) Which suit sells more? 3) Are the warranties similar? If not, how do they differ?
@WWTCC
@WWTCC Жыл бұрын
Hello, I can't find a published weight for the Kokatat suit! However. NRS have a published weight of 1.5Kg for their large Axiom suit, i've just put my large Kokatat Meridian on the scales in the shop and there saying 1.7Kg. In terms of sales, again it's pretty close but the Kokatat Meridian takes a narrow lead here. Warranties, here in the UK any warranty issues are sorted slightly differently between the two brands. NRS work with a repair partner ( Hammond Drysuits) who carry out any necessary work quickly and to a high standard. Kokatat warranties are carried out at there European importer based in Woking. All the servicing and warranty items we've had to get done have ben dealt with super quick, very impressive set up. It's hard to say one is better than the other. Both suits have "limited lifetime" warranties, the NRS suits haven't been around for to many years and any issues we've seen have been sorted without question. Kokatat Gore-Tex suits have been around for some time and we still see 10 year old suits coming through with issues that get repaired and go back out all carried out under warranty. Both companies customer services are very very good. The main difference between the two suits is the cut, if possible give them both a try and see what one feels and fits best.
@kcoo4115
@kcoo4115 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the helpful information. Dry suits are such a niche product. And from my the research, seemingly all dry suits serve their purpose well with only a narrow range of notable differences. Given, the decision as to which brand to buy comes down to the manufacturer’s commitment to customer service on a “lifetime” warranty. For me, the choice will come down to reading customer reviews, perusing Reddit and the like, to get a sense of after sales satisfaction.

@WWTCC
@WWTCC Жыл бұрын
What size fusion are you using? The Fusion L should be more than sufficient volume wise for you and is a bigger boat than the Ion. Other options of similar crossover kayaks are the Dagger Katana 10.4. If you are just using the boat on flat water then it would be worth looking at the Dagger Axis E, it runs well and has plenty of room inside for taller paddlers, however it is not suited to whitewater.

Hey gents, quick question: does it spin on a wave? Obviously it's not got a stepped chine or a spin disc, but it does remind me a lot of my old Dagger infrared and that was pretty loose and had really sweet glide. So how does it measure up?

Hi Gemma, For it's length it's pretty loose. Your not going to be doing endless easy flat spins, but if you've got a good size wave you can spin and blunt. It does surf really well, very smooth. We are really big fan's of the Joker, it's a lot of fun.

I don't know about the 1-person Scooter, but for the two-person Scooter XT (vs old Gemini), Wavesport told me in an email that bow volume had increased slightly, along with bow width and flare, for increased buoyancy at the front and better handling in choppy waters. They also said the bailer system had been improved for quicker drainage...
