Sfors' no good very bad day. How did you get your Foundry chat to scroll, by the way? Mine gets stuck and I remember you mentioning that you figured out what was causing it? Your campaign inspired me to pick up some worldbuilding and attempt to run my own when I finally get enough written down. How long, if I may ask, did it take for you to prep this world of yours before you felt like it was enough to start having players scamper around in it?

The only way I got chat to force-scroll is by using a mod called DF Chat Enhancements. It's an old mod, isn't updated, but still does the trick. As for worldbuilding, I've taken a lot of my inspiration from esoteric history, secret societies, and their beliefs about the universe. Notably, my first inspiration for that was Elden Ring, but then I found out even Elden Ring is inspired primarily by a lot of esotericism. And honestly, I don't have everything planned out for the party. I sort of run with any idea I have during the week, and see how I can relate it to the worldbuilding, or the players' personal backstory. And then sorta... ad-lib an entire plotline from there.

@KoboldDM thank you so much for the reply! I'll have to try to install the mod then, because it's been really mildly inconvenient having to scroll every time. I really have been enjoying the campaign so far. It's been a great companion while working and doing tasks at my desk.

"Foundry VTT lets you Import EVERYTHING" - so how do I import my DnD 3.5 Roll20 characters? I got them as json, but are not accepted because in the json they are formatted different than in VTT

As someone who is GM'ing Kingmaker at the moment, I can feel your pain. I've been ripping out a lot of combat as well and homebrewing social and exploration content to replace it. The idea of Kingmaker is great. How people become Kingmakers is really really group dependent and Kingmaker in it's base content doesn't quite provide the alternative hooks for non-combat activities. That being said! I look forward to your homebrew campaign! Maybe us patreons can vote on some themes or direction?
