Since Nri is a much older kingdom than Ife, the true story should be that the Igbo founded Ife after having been in Igboland for centuries. In order words, the Ooni is a progeny of the Eze Nri.

AguluEri is just one of the descendants of Eri. The most prominent and the first son of Eri is Nri, and by the way, the Eze Enugwu-Aguleri does not play one single part in the coronation of Eze Nri. An Eze Nri-designate visits about 20 Igbo towns in the course of his coronation. Aguleri is just one of those towns. Aguleri is not the first town he visits. Aguleri is also not the last town he visits

The first son of Eri is Agulu who founded Aguleri. The second son was Menri who inherited his father’s spiritual powers and founded Nri. Aguleri is our older brother and that is why they are accorded such respect.
@cliveanawana5289
@cliveanawana5289 3 жыл бұрын
@@trapp998 Agulu is not the first son. That is why NRI-Menri's grave lies in close proximity to Eri's gravesite. Agulu's grave is not even known Menri is buried in Agulueri because he's the firstborn in the household of Eri, otherwise he would have been buried in Osili in Enugwu-ukwu or Agbadana in Agukwu. Nri-Menri instructed his sons Okpalanakana(Enugwu-ukwu), Okpalariam(Nawfia), Omenakanu (Enugwu-Agidi), Oruora and Ifikuanim(Agukwu) to bury him at Aguleri beside his father, as he was the first son and owned the land. In Igbo tradition,you are buried in the land you own or inherited. He wouldn't have been buried there if the land wasn't his, especially as he already had a large expanse of land in the Enugwu-ukwu and Agukwu region

@cliveanawana5289

@@ezeweobodo6917 First of all, Eri is the father of a good chunk of the Igbos, not Aguleri. Secondly Nri-Menri was the first son of Eri, which is why Nri people hold the ofo that authorises them to lift abominations in Igboland, crown kings, own the originating shrines of the Igbo market days e.t.c That is why Nri-Menri and Eri ihimself, are the only two original ancestors that have burial sites (INI) in Aguleri, while Agulu has no burial site in Aguleri, thus providing a definitive proof of Nri'-Menri's firstsonship. Any prospective Eze Nri visits Enugwu-Agidi, Nawfia, Enugwu-ukwu. He also visits places in Dunukofia, Umuleri and Aguleri. In fact he visits Umuleri twice, and visits Aguleri only once. Show me any newspaper article from the 1990s downwards where there is any mention of any Eze Eri, nor indeed anyone with the surname Eri. You will never find it, because the one that goes around with the appendage Eze Eri Chukwuemeka Eri only took that name just a few years ago, to help hoodwink those that are culturally week. His father was just an Eze mmou.

I've been wondering about the statement His Royal Highness made about NdIgbo emanating from Ile Ife, and I can see now from a holistic point of view to a very poignant observation that the solution to many of Nigeria's problems lay in the hands of the people's from the south! If in response to this issue the Igbo and the Yoruba can dare to come together and create an economy that grants an free educational landscape that will act as an example, a most fascinating group of cultures that live happily as one, a landscape of interesting and intricate variations, then we would be a great and powerful country and a nation indeed, leading effortlessly to the emancipation of the African at home and abroad! For this alone I hope there is some truth to His Majesty's comments.

Culturally, the Igbo and the Hebrews have 99% similar culture. The vase of Igbokwu points to an art and technology or influence on a people that migrated from the Middle-East part of the world. Igbo are predominantly light complexioned, although it is evident they mixed and intermarried many cultures during their many years of migration. Igbo oral history acknowledges the Igbo were travelers from "a far place" that within the last 500 years migrated from a place called Lokoja and settle at a place called Nri. The earlier part of their thousand years journey before they got to Lokoja had been obliterated. It is left for archaeologists to trace that journey of over 2,000 years from the geographical location of Israel today to southeastern Nigeria.

What some do not realise is that Israelite groups are spread all over Nigeria. Fulani and Efik are also considered part of the lost tribes. Many groups came from Mali with Wangarawa traders and settled in Katsina among the Hausa. Nigeria is most likely a land of Kushite, Semite, and Pygmy groups that all assimilated to form the different tribes we have today. We all have these mixes in us of varying degrees. That is the true story. People will be surprised that the only group that still follow pure Jewish practices are a group of Yoruba Israelites in Ondo state!!!!!!!!!
