Should leave camera on at all times so we can see the hook set instead of turning on after a catch. As a fishermen, we want to be in the moment with the POV 😅. Good stuff though

Awesome video 🙌🏽 informative and fun to watch . Give yourself a bigger leader and you won’t pull so many hooks even though you said it was barbless you need a good piece of leader to give a little stretch . Keep it up bro and keep throwing those GSF 🙌🏽

Dude, you killed 'em haha. This is pretty much exactly how to fish a trout magnet too if you wanted to go all the way down to 1/64 of an oz haha; one of my favorite ways to catch anything that swims. This is also a super good way to fish a ned rig ,where you put it on as light of a head as possible, reel it slow and let it swim and tick off of all the little rocks and stuff.

What's the weight of your mini jig totally?
@kevin-lin
@kevin-lin 11 ай бұрын
I was fishing a 1/32 oz. mini jig (the jig head is 1/32 oz.). Sometimes I’ll bump up to 1/16 oz. if it’s more windy or if I need to get a bit more distance!
@Justin-zw1hx
@Justin-zw1hx 11 ай бұрын
@@kevin-lin that's really light jighead, what was the water depth you were fishing at?
@kevin-lin
@kevin-lin 11 ай бұрын
boat was in around 12-15’ of water I think! I was casting to the bank which was probably a lot more shallow. The 1/32 is light and harder to cast out, but it also sinks slower and stays in the strike zone longer!
@Justin-zw1hx
@Justin-zw1hx 11 ай бұрын
that's a very good point, I feel like 1/8 oz jig I typically use just sinks too fast and I have to retrieve fast to keep it from sinking to the bottom and snag on the rock or weeds. By the way, I can feel the pain of light braid, I have daiwa 6lb braid and it is very easy to get wind knots.@@kevin-lin
@kevin-lin
@kevin-lin 11 ай бұрын
haha definitely! i've definitely been getting less wind knots in past weeks... only things that changed are: 1. the braid got more use (not sure if there's some break in period for light braid where wind knots are less common) 2. I took off a bunch of line from the reel-right now there's around 1/8" of space between where the line ends on the spool and the edge of the spool
