You can get application fee waivers from busines schools by attending events such as the MBA tour. There is no waiver for the GMAT application though. You have to pay the test fees.

Hi, could you please solve the bonus q if possible? When you tell first half and second half for the time, how should i approach. It's a bit confusing.
@annugupta796012 күн бұрын
as it's 2 equal halves we can assume any 2 equal times , easiest being 1/2 hr & 1/2 hr

The probability of hitting the target is 1/4 Therefore, the probability of not hitting the target is = 1 - 1/4 = 3/4 Let E be the event that the man to hit the target twice in four shots, we need to consider the following cases: Case 1: He hits the target in 1st and 2nd shot and does not hit the target in 3rd and 4th shot. P(Case 1) = 1/4 * 1/4 * 3/4 * 3/4 = 9/256 Case 2: He hits the target in 2nd and 3rd shot and does not hit the target in 1st and 4th shot. P(Case 2) = 3/4 * 1/4 * 1/4 * 3/4 = 9/256 Case 3: He hits the target in 3rd shot and 4th shot and does not hit the target in 1st and 2nd shot. P(Case 3) = 3/4 * 3/4 * 1/4 * 1/4 = 9/256 Case 4: He hits the target in 1st shot and 3rd shot and does not hit the target in 2nd and 4th shot. P(Case 4) = 1/4 * 3/4 * 1/4 * 3/4 = 9/256 Case 5: He hits the target in 1st shot and 4th shot and does not hit the target in 2nd and 3rd shot. P(Case 5) = 1/4 * 3/4 * 3/4 * 1/4 = 9/256 Case 6: He hits the target in 2nd shot and 4th shot and does not hit the target in 1st and 3rd shot. P(Case 6) = 3/4 * 1/4 * 3/4 * 1/4 = 9/256 P(E) = 9/256 * 6 = 54/256 OPTION (C)

Time cannot be transferred from one section to another. However, you can use those 5 minutes to review any questions you want within the quant section.

We know that sum of roots is (-b/a). So, in that sense can we not solve this by finding just the value of b as we already have value of 'a' and one of the roots

Once we got value of K as 12 when by dividing 999 by 77. Isn's that enough. We can then directly add one to 12 and get 13 terms.

Why can't option C be the right answer? There is no logical explanation about it. Option A states that people have killed their parents just not to pay estate taxes? Isn't this more weird than Option C?
@Wizako2 ай бұрын
Woah there. The option does not suggest that parents are being killed for the sake of estate taxes. The discussion is about "reporting" of deaths. Which is very different. All that the option is suggesting is that deaths that occurred may not have been reported till the new year. Option C is just summarizing the paradox. That the statistics do not make sense. Which is NEVER the answer in paradox questions. The very definition of the question type is that you have to pick a statement that provides a logical explanation. If you are new to CR, I suggest you explore the rules of the question types and become familiar with the patterns. You can also sign up with us and attend a free verbal class: wzko.in/demo

Hi Sir, Nowhere have we established that the positive number is greater than the 2 negative numbers. What if the positive number 4 is added to -8+ (-5). the result is less than 0, and then the first equation (a+b+c>0) doesn't get fulfilled. Therefore, is it not going to be E then? Please explain. Thanks!
@WizakoАй бұрын
We have to select only such numbers that will make the statements valid whether we evaluate them individually or together. If we go with the numbers you have mentioned, 4, -8, -5, these three numbers will not make Statement 1 valid. So, this will not be a part of the universe that we can use to determine sufficiency. The rationale we said three negative numbers are not possible when evaluating statement 1 is for the same reason - it will negate what is said in statement 1. I hope this addresses your question. If not, please circle back. Best wishes.

This is tricky because I thought the question was saying that a regular child's ticket costs half the regular fare for an adult + a reservation charge. Therefore, I thought it was Child ticket = (Adult ticket + reservation charge)/2. I don't think this question is worded very clearly
