Hey, so moving your house (your website) requires it to be migrated to a new peice of land (server/host). If your website is built with an open source platform like wordpress then this is fairly straight forward. If your website is made with a proprietory platform (wix, squarespace, etc) - then it can't be moved. Hope this helps.

Oh that may be a conflict with the theme you have installed. One quick way to check is to go to you Appearance > Themes and activate a different theme (preferably a WordPress default theme like "2022" or some other year. Then test again. If you still get an error contact the GiveWP support team (givewp.com/contact-us/). They are usually pretty helpful.

Those are good questions. You definetly want to have a form that allows CC payment. Some online donation systems will also allow bankwire transfers (ACH). On the same page, give donors information on how mail checks as well. You want to keep it simple, so try to make the instructions clear and straight forward. And best if you can have all the info on one page. Main payment form with ability to pay with CC and in the side bar include info on how to pay with check, how to pay with ACH as well as your contact info.

Hi, I would make it a goal that you feel is achievable. You don't want to be 2/3 of the way through the fundraiser and still be below 50% of your goal. Also, it is good to remember, that a majority of fundraisers that reach their goal will EXCEED their goal. YOu want you supported to feel like they are part of something successful. So keep the goal achievable... something you feel - with a bit of effort - you can successfully get.

There are a lot of ways to do this. But I do not have any resources on this. Here are some ideas - if you have access to cPanel, you can create emails directly in there. Just do a KZbin search for "creating emails with cPanel". Other than that you can either sign up for Microsoft 365 for Google Workspace. Again, this is worth a KZbin search as both these products can be complex.

You will have to file with your state according to state law. Every state is different. You do not have to post your tax returns anywhere to show transparency. Though some nonprofits will post quarterly financial statements on their website. But this is not necessarily a requirement.

You add the donate button (or link) to the menu of the website. So once you have the page created you would go to Appearance > Menu and add the page there. To make it button depends on which theme you use. Some will have this feature and others won't. I would suggest searching KZbin on "how to add button to WordPress menu using THEMENAME HERE".

Hi, Woocommerce shouldn't block the donation. In this video we don't even install Woocommerce. But even it you have it installed, it should not interfer with GiveWP. Are you getting and error? How do you know it is being blocked? You may want to try contacting the GiveWP support team. They are pretty responsive and helpful.

at 10:58 in the video just select multipage instead of legacy.

If you mean change the wording on the form that is not possible as it is not a built in feature. But you can install another plugin that will give you the ability to override the forms verbiage. To do this contact GiveWP support and they can walk you through it. It is fairly advanced and not anything i have ever done. If you just need this to be a payment form (not for donations) then you may look into somthing like Gravity forms or Ninja Forms. These plugins allow you to create custom forms and add payment options.

This could be a permalink issue. See if changing the permalinks to a different type (like plain) and see if that works go to Settings > Permalinks. Be sure to click Update at the bottom of the page. Ideally though your permalinks should be set to "post". In the end, this can be a tricky one to diagnos. @@elizabethwilliams2333 If you changed the permalinks and did not return them to the original setting this could cause the error. So you can either update the links in your menu to these pages or return to the original permalink settings. The best recommneded permalink setting is "posts". If this doesn't fix it then it could be a variety of other things. Hard to tell without access to the site.
