I remember as a kid having a lot of fun learning this language and doing fun stuff with it, but I quickly figured out that you can't really do anything useful with it. As a learning tool to grasp the fundamentals of programming to children it is great though!

@JustinSalvato3 ай бұрын
@@Rob-md6ml ha, I get ya, but to be fair to them, I also complain and I grew up with this dial-up stuff. My thought is.. We have the technology now for everything to be instantaneous and yet it isn't. Quite insulting, for me anyway, to see the evolution of this technology and have it bogged down by bloat (mostly ads on top of ads).

I have this disc right in front of me as I'm typing this. Ours was scratched beyond belief, but I took it to our local video game shop to clean it up. They have a CD cleaner they bought from when Lucas Arts was closing, and after a cycle in that machine my CD is back to running condition. I'm trying to look into this and find more information, and if I do I'll leave more comments here.

Colecovision has always been the video game of my dreams, and I could never find one in Brazil. I had an Atari 2600 and an Intellivision in the early 80's. I'm 51 years old. I don't have the privilege of being able to play on an original Colecovision console, so I'm using a Rasperry Pi 4 to be able to play the best games through emulation.

The one store I really miss is Toys R Us! When Thanksgiving ended you knew that the barrage of Christmas commercials were coming, and the Toys R Us commercials were ALWAYS the best!! 🎼🎵🎶🎶🎵🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵 "I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid! There's a million Toys at Toys R Us that I can play with.... They were so awesome to see and hear! The 70's was a awesome time to grow up! The games, the toys, the music, and the, well everything was so much better. Another great reason the 70's were best, DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEATERS! Those were awesome! Especially for kids!, and as I later learned for teenagers and young adults too! 😉😉

Not what I really wanted, hence why I'm selling it. I got an IBM Aptiva after I graduated high school in the mid 1990s, one of these, with the front door flap. Over the years, well, stuff happens and I no longer have it so I tried to replace it. The seller did a lousy job packing it and it got damaged in transit. Hard drive was dead, monitor got kicked in, other things here and there. Also, the keyboard is Spanish, so there's that. But I replaced the hard drive and got a lot of help online from other users on how to get it up and running again. It also helped that I kept the original OEM disks from my original Aptiva, so once I got this one running again, I was able to load all the software, operating system and drivers from that.

Windows Phone 8.1 was released in August 2014? Didn't know it was that late because I had been using it since the first Developer Preview release that April. I miss this OS so much and I'm glad you considered W10M not as special as Windows Phone, because it really wasn't. Maybe it turned out far worse than even desktop Windows 10 because of the layoffs in its division. Satya Nadella has been doing better than his predecessors with open source stuff, but it's sad that came at the cost of the best mobile OS to date.
@JustinSalvato2 жыл бұрын
Right, I was always on board for the developer previews. As for Windows 10 Mobile, it was nothing more than an app launcher, to me. Gone was the metro-style interface. Though I did like Cortana, especially the driving aspects, Microsoft kept making her more and more useless. I'm not a stock owner, nor do I care about enterprise endeavors.. I'm into consumer goods which is why I preferred the company under Steve Ballmer's leadership. Oh well. If I could get high quality Windows Phone videos, I would like to do a longer video, taking a deeper dive into the history of the operating system.

I had to watch your video to confirm the system indeed came with a cartridge. The one I got for one Christmas as a kid didn't include one for some odd reason and when we returned it, Toys R Us didn't have any replacements 😑 and that's the story of how I became "proud" owner of the Atari 7800
