I can play low c. For me its Low D flat for some reason. I've hit it before but I can't in scales or just to play that note

I figured it out! It was definitely my pinky hitting that D sharp pinky key because once I was intentional in avoiding it I could play it! Thank you!!!

Take it one note at a time! Only increase the tempo once confident with the notes. You've got this! 😊

I can roll the R pretty nicely since my language has a rolled R. But once I shape my mouth to play the flute, the suddenly narrow space in my mouth especially the roof of mouth, stops my tongue from vibrating. And I have no idea how to change that.

My problem is when I play scales I have trouble syncing but when I play my marching band music my tounging is in sync please let me know why or how I can fix that I have tried doing what was in the video it fixed some of it but not all of it
@JaneFluteSchool16 күн бұрын
You might be playing the scales too fast for your tongue at the moment. Try and slow down the scales to make sure your articulation and fingering is in sync. Once that is working well, then you can slowly increase speed gradually over time, and build it back up to a faster tempo. 😀

Hi Jane I have a question about flute. How do you get less spit in your flute? Whenever I’m done with a song the inside of my flute is dripping I need help any tips of on to keep you from doing that?
@JaneFluteSchool16 күн бұрын
When playing flute, the hot air from your breath will cause condensation inside your flute. This is totally normal! This is why we need to swab our flute before packing away in the case when finished playing to remove any moisture from inside the instrument to prevent mould.
@VERSETHESACE15 күн бұрын
@ thank u so much!! I’ve seen professional flute players play flute and not have this problem. How do you not cause as much condensation while playing the flute because when I take my flute apart my spit flies all over the room and I get so embarrassed haha

What about circular breathing? Is that allowed in concert band or something, because you still get air and you can blow forever

If you can pull it off well then go for it! Normally with circular breathing you don't get a strong tone compared to if you're playing normally. 😀

I feel like I'm squeezing down so hard to get a good sound. I took my flute to the music store and the technician shone a light in to the inside of the flute and could see many gaps where the keys are not closing properly. Mine is a previously owned flute so I wasnt aware of this problem and hope that I didn't cause it by squeezing too hard. I think I was squeezing too hard because there were the gaps. I think my playing will improve greatly once this situation is corrected. Thank you for your wonderful videos!
@JaneFluteSchoolАй бұрын
Hopefully when getting rid of those leaky keys on your flute, it will feel easier for you to play. You shouldn't have to press super hard with your fingers when playing flute, if you are this might be a sign that you have some leaky keys.

Apparently, before modern computer rendering, animation production was such a laborious chore that there was little budget for original music. That's why the Warner Brothers producers opted to tap classical pieces from the public domain to serve as the soundtrack for these cartoon classics.
