I absolutely loved this talk. Loved the poetry and the very functional parallels between music, nature and typography in motion. Thank you.

The group is agathokakological, a double-edged sword (good and bad, positive and negative). On the one hand, they fight misogyny. On the other hand, their use of guerilla maks is a slap at the Black museum curator that pissed them off. His name was Kynaston McShine. He made some sexist comments, but instead of distancing themselves from white supremacy and being inspired to end misogyny, the group of white feminists decided to belittle Black people by using gorilla masks. We all know that for centuries, Black people have been belittled and erroneously compared to apes, gorillas, and monkeys. Gorilla Girls is a racist, white feminist group. Their black suits, black gloves, and gorilla face are basically black-face and a belittling of the black misogynist "Mr. Kynaston McShine," all under the guise of fighting prejudiced art! White feminists often infuse white supremacy into their movement (See Margaret Sanger and her connections to Eugenics movement, white supremacy and the Klan.)

What a delightful video and reminder of this transformation! I grew up in Woodbury and attended Woodbury Elementary, Woodbury Jr High and Woodbury High School. It’s true that yards are super manicured. Would have loved to have more edible landscapes throughout the city - what an amazing project and a great place to start. Thanks for sharing this video.

No Manifesto - Yvonne Rainier (1964) No to spectacle. No to virtuosity. No to transformations and magic and make-believe. No to the glamour and transcendency of the star image. No to the heroic. No to the anti-heroic. No to trash imagery. No to involvement of performer or spectator. No to style. No to camp. No to seduction of spectator by the wiles of the performer. No to eccentricity. No to moving or being moved.

What that guy did to Eugene DeBruin story is a CRIME, and he should be banned forever from public life. If I was Eugenes son, brother, anything, I would love to have 5 minutes in a locked room with him. Its disgusting.

I always get the sense of someone who doesn't really know what else to do with her life but masquerade and change herself in front of a mirror (which a camera is), almost like a nihilistic laughter at life or "a theater for no one".. I am of course very glad, Ingrid got so much out of Sherman's work and was able to communicate her experiences with various artists' works so eloquently

Excellent young man who has a direct and unassuming way of speaking about what he does and why he does it. His personal ambition to succeed within the parameters of the global art world is honest & evident. Also interesting to follow Mr Price's ever-evolving approach to manipulating color & plastic form in visually engaging ways. 🔥

This is inspiring. When I think about the feminist history of zines-how the Riot Grrrl movement used them to address women’s issues and promote inclusivity-I can’t help but create memorial zine about Masuimi Max. It would be a way to remember her importance.
