In service request application, add a field with attribute LOCATION.. User should have view of look up(create a new lookup, dont use existing one and only status=active locations should be present in the lookup.) as well as navigating to location application... Once a location is selected in SR application, when you click on go to location application, the selected location should be directly opened in location application. And when user clicks on select value, only location and status value should be visible to user

I think this problem is related to user permission, that he doesn't have privilege to access Location application.
