I lined up early morning at GameStop on the release date and got my hands on a Prismatic ETB to open. It's sad like how you mentioned in the video how there's only enough to fulfill preorders and some people in line. Only if everyone could get their hands on some right away.

light packs are "better"

It's crazy how the pull rates on Prismatic is extremely hard, yet people are still buying it above msrp from scalpers.

When weighing ETBs there are far too many variables. The dice, the plastic wrap, booklet, cards. Tiny weight differences in each of those could cause a few grams to be lighter or heavier

Next time, try weighting the boxes without the cards in them. You have a "light" and a "heavy" box? Cool. Open it, weigh the box of each side and or try weighing them with the extra stuff that comes in the packs and try and find out where the extra grams come from. This "test" could have been done much better if you ask me.

A god pack would be the lightest. Texture cards/ hits are lighter than regular cards and holos/reverses.

I got two packs of blooming waters in my closet, might open one but saving one at that aha I have a feeling over a time a decade or more these will sky rocket aha the most badass release since base set 1999 stuff, think about it people legit got elbowed UFC style in the face for two of these packs ahahaha to me that means something lol (badass). I'm more of a PSA slabbed up 99-2001 holo collector myself (my gem 1999 holo PSA 9, Ninetales) but when I went on break and seen them still there and two a person and we had just a snowstorm (east coast) and scalpers were in full force coming in and out I had to get the two pack blooming waters! I had one of my packs stuck in the cardboard as well, and that was the only pack that had an SIR in it🎉

I hope to find some of this set in the wild soon! Can't bring myself to pay over MSRP for a week old set, so fingers crossed I hit a restock at one of my local stores. Great video! 🎉❤

The extra weight was probably the holo energies honestly-- is what I WOULD SAY if there hadn't been ONE LESS in the heavier one than the light one! I genuinely thought that's what it was gonna be but... I don't even know this time 😂

Once I am able to get some Prismatic, I'll be hunting for the snorlax, umbreon, and roaring moon! Also, word is that the lighter packs have better hits in this set. I guess the textured cards weigh a little less. Anyways great vid!

I wonder if the different foil patterns weigh differently too! If I am going anywhere close to PE it’s for the Iron Hands SIR 😂

the only thing i can think of is that maybe the 5 grams is being dispersed throughout the cardboard inside. like how they make some code cards heavier to counter people weighing packs. or maybe even the guide book? my friend and i once bought an ETB of 151 each, but his player's guide was glossy and nice, while mine was practically made of paper. we thought it was a quality control issue, but now i'm not so sure. anywho, amazing pulls! surprised you guys managed to pull 3 different eeveelutions!

It’s wild how even preordering the new sets now doesn’t even guarantee you’ll get any on release day.

Not gonna lie, I knew I was gonna wait a while on this set because of the atrocious pull rates i've been seeing in the english set. Been burned on opening packs recently too. That being said, i got my cards!! I LOVE the castform alt art, and the Sports Eggs have become one of my fav alt arts too! I wanna post on insta but i lost access to my account OTL also, my fav is Vaporeon, unfortunately. I say unfortunately bc people think it's ok to repeat the copypasta like I haven't heard it a million times before. It's not funny after you've heard it so many times 🙄

I have looked every where for these! I refuse to pay for scalpers. Going to get them some day! Thank you for doing what you do! ❤
