Funny comparing Audi. BMW Audi and Mercedes only make new cars for leases. As that’s what nearly all of their customers are interested in. Lease customers aren’t interested in hanging on to the car past 100k miles, so there’s no reason for them to make a car that lasts much longer than that.

I think something else...although I don't know if it has any impact...is that more and more Australians, in particular the younger generations...just don't want to drive. They want to be biking and/or taking public transport more as the prime mode of mobility. I think the appeal for people is that time is valuable...and the best way to maximise time is to live as close to work/school and/or to Public transport/shops as much as possible (most likely living in density) in order to save time travelling, and commuting as a means of doing stuff whilst commuting. Younger generations adhere more to the dangers and disadvantages of driving (accidents, pollution, high costs of maintenance etc...). Within Sydney, where I'm from, Millenuals and younger account for 68% of commuters, despite being only 39% of the population...which means that in the future...its likely this mentality will be taught to younger generations to a point where commuting will dominate driving as the prime mode of mobility. In addition, with the increase of public transport options throughout cities, implementation of Bike Lanes, and Australian culture shifting away from car dependency and whats comes with it (like Urban Sprawl), cars and driving could be relegated as a niche hobby enjoyed by a few or driving is only for workers (emergency and tradies) and other demographics like families with young children/elderly, people with a disability etc... I think Australia of tomorrow in terms of its urban lansscape will be more like Asia compared to America today...with that...car culture will only decline.

@@VictorSilva-nd2xl Awesome! I love the 335iX, I hope you’re enjoying it!! I’ve had multiple E36,E46, 1 E92 M3’s and a F82 m4 and out of all of them I only had an issue with the V8 that the E92 M3 has in it! I’ve literally never had an issue with the S series inline 6 and they can make big power with stock internals. They are so good I swapped an S50 into my E30 325ci back in the day. In Belgium this will not happen! If you enter a Ferrari dealership, you can buy any car they have in the showroom or the one’s behind the scene. I’m sure this is something only happening in the US. Porsche Antwerp had two brand new GT3RS for sale. Step in, pay and you drive home with it.

5k and you're surprised you dont have any faults 😂 Wait another 60k and then your wallet will feel it. Compared to other cars BMW still is less reliable than other cars at any milage you mention. But new BMW are better quality then other cars. Quality doesn't last long on BMW if you dont regularly maintain it.
