My yarn got caught between the upright and the base part of the actual winder. It ruined lots of yarn…difficult to get it out.🙁

That's exactly what I was looking for! How long do you leave the squares on the blocking board? Thank you

Thank you so much! I love how you described this. No nonsense, no hype or awful music and no unnecessary chit chat. Your voice is kind and calm and I love your way of teaching. I finally inderstand how to do this. ( I am a very very new knitter. In fact I consider myself a newborn preemie knitter. Thanks so much!!😬

Hi, I’m new to crochet & this is the BEST tutorial! Thank you! What is the stitch that creates the hat part with the heart on it?

Thank you! For Crochet I used the waist coats stitch - the problem is this stitch is tight and dense so be careful not to crochet too tightly

I love your video. You make it so easy to follow. I have a question that I am a little confused about. I am very new to knitting. I have made some scarves and this will be my first hat. A knitting group at church gave me a pattern for this type of hat using a size 10 circular needles and casting on 48 stitches for an adult beanie like yours. Your pattern calls for using size 9 needles and casting on 80 stitches. I am using a size 4 worsted weight yarn. Is your yarn a lighter weight?
@DesignsbyPhanessa
@DesignsbyPhanessa 17 күн бұрын
Do you meet the gauge? Even when you knitted scarfs, did you meet gauge? Everyone knits differently so the gauge will vary between people. 48 seems small and more like a number for using bulky/chunky weight yarn but without anymore info I don’t really have a good answer for you 🙁

I slip th working stitches onto the needle but I fold the lower needle in half upwards so the needles are resting under out of the way.. hard to explain. But it makes it faster

There is a fourth way that's in between two and three. I'm not sure what it's called. Instead of doing half double, you yarn over. Insert your hook through the back loop. Then grab a loop and pull it through the two loops that are on on the hook. I am not sure what this is called it makes a very stretchy fabric also. I think someone called it maybe a double slip stitch through the back loop. Cool video thank you for showing me all these. I forgot about the first one that once a tighter stretchy fabric looks just like a stocking it stitch. For knitting but it's stretchy

This is great. Since my diagnosis with breast CA it has become difficult for me to knit and I've been looking for a crochet ribbing that is as stretchy as a knit ribbing. This is a precise tutorial that leaves nothing to the imagination and guess work!!!

Great tutorial! I’ve made a few but I always run into the problem of my crimp bead sliding off. Do you have any advice for how to make them a bit more sturdy? Maybe a cauterizing gun to “glue” the crimping bead? Thank you!
@DesignsbyPhanessa
@DesignsbyPhanessa Ай бұрын
I’m sorry you have issues with the crimp beads. You can try different types of crimp beads. Are they too large? Does your tool squeeze it enough? Mine are quite tight. Glue may help too
