My Dad introduced me to Mr Snow one night when I was a little kid. Dad played guitar with the Rainbow Ranchers when they did a west coast swing. He shared a room with Jimmy Snow when he was just a kid. (Not Dad, Jimmy was.) Heard stories about life on the road, which I will keep to myself. Love Hank Snow's music.😊

Correct personnel is: Phil Napoleon, trumpet / Miff Mole, trombone / Bernhard ‘Doc’ Berendsohn, clarinet & C-Melody saxophone / Loren McMurray, alto saxophone / possibly Joe Gold, piano / probably Nick Lucas, banjo / possibly Sam Lanin, cymbal.

The Colonel and Hank Snow were supposed to share management of Elvis. The Colonel pulled a fast one behind Hank's back and stole Elvis away. Hank Snow didn't have any good memories of Tom Parker.

Thank you so much for this video, however, I must take issue. Shu-LAK, not SHU-lak, And though Berliner left Germany E-mil Ber-LIN-er, he arrived in the US E-MEEL BER-li-ner. Or so said his granddaughter, who was also my mother. Some members of the family have reverted to Old World pronunciation, but I have not. And do try to get shellac right.
