Very beautiful and romantic music Willy. As I listened to this piece several times and felt its melancholy flavor, the title reminded me that as I went through puberty, I observed that girls, then my own age, developed psychologically faster than we boys did. I remember how I carried the future around on my shoulders or in my head. Once I reached my mid twenties and romance took over my heart, that changed and I saw the world through my gut or intuitive field of reasoning. But women instinctively have a jump start from puberty due to the fact that their wombs are within the gut or intuitive field of both physical and psychological reality. The melancholy flavor of the music for me expresses that kind of paradox which can only be resolved through the maturity of our Soul nature. And I must also add that the maturity of your music, and the composer, brings out the best in me and reminds me that maybe I am a little more wise than I thought.

Looking back on my own life, there were times, not always, but there were times when sentimentality made me indecisive about things. And thanks to my lucky stars a dangerous outcome did not follow. Again, the music is so beautiful, so graceful and romantic, quite thoughtful and at times majestic sounding. As in the first Rixheim theme, I love the way you contrast the major base chords with the minor and seventh chords. Gives the music a very nice dynamic.

Willy, the music is so beautiful, so graceful and romantic. Even thoughtful and at times majestic sounding. I think it describes all the sentiments of Brixheim and all the countryside of that part of Alsace when I visited there, so close to the Rhein, only 5 kilometers from Mulhouse, also at the crossroads of Strasbourg where the present highways were once ancient Roman roads. I remember lots of hills in the landscape, some quite high. I listened to this piece several times and still got the same thrilling goose bumps that I did hearing it the very first time. Willy, did Ghislaine get the same goose bumps I did? I hope she did. This is wonderful.

Willy, this song is so familiar to me. I first heard it back in 1970 in a record shop and bought it. It wasn't a big hit like Love Is Blue but what really fascinated me about the music is the raw and wild edge he introduces to the song, then the music is intermingled with harmonic and rhythmic horns and strings to try and tame it. But you cannot tame this song. It was born to be wild, edgy and that, to me, is what makes it such a classic. I think you did a pretty good job with it on your accordion in getting that wild, edgy sound. Blessings. Richard.

This is really nice. I surely like all the chord changes that make up the harmonies. The slow pace of the sound makes me feel as though I'm drifting... drifting through the streets of Honfleur. I have relatives in France and was once in Honfleur to see the house where Eric Satie was born. I live in Toronto and learned from my French relatives that Samuel de Champlain in 1608 launched his fleet of ships from Honfleur to explore the St. Lawrence River and founded the city known today as Quebec City. Honfleur is a very beautiful place to visit and your music captures the relaxed atmosphere of the whole village as I remember it. Blessings. Richard.

So beautiful piece!!! How can I find the sheet music? Is for sale?

I played the video over several times because 1) it is quite short and I wanted to enjoy it more, and 2) I thought I heard something of Chopin in the music. It's not my habit to read the video or show notes so I eventually did read them and sure enough, you mention Chopin's name. It's a very pretty tune, I only wish it were longer. I hope more people subscribe to and like your channel. It's worth it.

Your playing of Erik Satie's Gymnopedie is really lovely to listen to. I only wish it was longer so there would be more to hear. Barkerez theme 78 was very interesting. My girlfriend and I started dancing to it but then it turned from a tango to a foxtrot which was fun for us. In music, fusion of genres has been around for a long time and it is as much fun for me as it must be for you to experiment. I just feel it is a shame that more people have not subscribed to your channel or listen to your videos. You bring a lot of skill to the accordion. Thank you so much.
