I love dinosaur jr. and they are incredible to see live, however their live recorded albums sound quality and fidelity is horrible. Martin and Me, a few versions of Thumb (live) and So what else is new, may be only a few exemptions from their live catalog.

This is NOT "1990"... it is nine years later: 1999... "don't believe the hype"... and it is audio compromised... there is some kind of glitch that always seems to be "about to go away", but it lingers, and lingers... you've been warned...

not sure the obsession with playing FtP, out there, start choppin and freak scene. Their sets are the same. but whatever - i will see them every chance i get.
@dinotubejr18 күн бұрын
I do get that but I think they do a pretty good job of picking tracks that casual listeners wanna hear and deep cuts that fans hope to hear (within the scope of what they play nowadays).

@@dinotubejr J did once say that they can't play the same tunes over and over again...hence the new records. But, he always goes back to what he knows. That's ok; I will see them any chance I can. Even the ice-calypse in PDX in Jan where the temps were 15*...saw them two nights in a row. Nice.

holy shit--i was at this show and was just reminded of it, and came to youtube to see if it was on here, and here it is, uploaded today, and it says I'm the first viewer.... this can't be real. Out of countless shows in my life this is one that will never leave me. J, Watt, George. It was raw power crazy how our memory works though--I've told the story of seeing Watt change his broken string (at 14 minutes) many times over the years but I remembered him changing it mid-song. Not the case!

i wanna add to the Lanegan love, i love seeing him happy through his happiness, i love knowing how his legacy went, i like knowing that he was gonna be cool if things were actually cool, i like seeing him with the most respectable people around, and most of all i like that his work isn't forgotten, to add id like to think that Jay and Lou liked mark and his music too, and at the end of that id like to think that everybody that likes this stuff can connect on liking them too.
well put. lol I'll ask her, but I'm pretty sure yr wrong.

@ one of the last shows I went to there was big black - at that time, Touch n Go records was turning more into like a Killdozer record label as opposed to the early 80s negative approach hard-core- I was in a band called Grievance Committee and we played Oi punk
