Intel misses a lot, right? Like Smartphones or AI etc.... Today, I understand Intel doesn't miss semiconductor innovation; just a lot of real-world customers don't understand. Let's say starting a Taiwan professor has a finfet idea, but intel success manufacturing and release finfet. Then start 14nm, then build ++++ in it. After this, Superfin was released and mass production so three generations of Superfin appeared in the real world. Finally, Intel likely has a hidden focus on semiconductor innovation companies in the world, that a lot of customers don't understand. For me, Intel Fab with semiconductor innovated really is an advanced manufacturer chip in the world, not TSMC. _______________________________________________________________ Can this channel, make a video about history of semiconductor innovation: 1. why build 14nm/++ on it 2. How SuperFin look like until three generation 3. talking about starting Intel 4 with advanced packaging 4. many is about Finfet innovation and until Jan 2025, what semiconductor innovation still not release on market like glass substrates. 5. This video does not talk about future semiconductor innovation, is about that thing successfully manufactured and semiconductor innovation that was forgotten until Jan 2025. _______________________________________________________________ Intel doesn't miss semiconductor innovation.👍

Is there any metrics provided while AI playground runs, like tokens/hour? Can this run on more than one B580 at one time? Do you know if this works on older cards like the Pro Arc A60?

All these power stages are useless unless you run LN2 cooling. Bios locked voltage controls to sub-zero cooling only. 😢

The most important connections on a Mainboard are NVME PCIE Gen 5, 2 full Thunderbolt 4 or 5 ports, Two Displayports, 20Gbps USB-C ports, some legacy USB-A 3.1 ports, PCI-X expansion slot.😊

In 2020 I bought my first AMD laptop. It was a very cheap one, I've always bought very cheap laptops. But I just ordered a laptop with an i7 1255u cpu. It will be an improvement but will need to spend a bit on upgrades to get it how I'd like.

Patiently waiting for the Intel stock version of the B580 to be made available on Amazon. Over the next year I only have 2 PC upgrades planned for the machine I built in mid-2023: Swap my 13500k to a 14700k and swap my A750 for the B580.

very nice and all but now in December 2024 in the market are still selling the first generation ultra at crazy prices, 2mil dollars and still no laptops with Core Ultra 2nd generation, ie still not for sale the Lunar Lake, which may if there are for sale in very exclusive places but at very crazy prices, it is still more powerful an apple m4 than a lunar lake, I do not deny that they are different things by the software but by the time the lunar lake goes on sale at normal prices for us mortals Apple will have already released the m5, I will end up buying a macbook with m2 or m3 cheap 500 dollars and will have more power than the lunar lake that definitely took time to come out.

XeSS 1.0 is already better than FSR3 and PSSR. XeSS 2.0 will completely bury Radeon.

How many games will actually implement XeSS 2.0 though? I’d love to buy this card to use it with upscaling and frame gen but im scared barely any games will implement it.

Arc B580 sold very well. I don't think game developers will miss A vs B series arc cards. Intel will also make a deal and FG will be added to the game a lot.
@Boofski
@Boofski Күн бұрын
@ B580 was a paper launch, I doubt the numbers indicate that many units were sold. As for Intel making deals, with what money? Intel is at the brink of bankruptcy I don’t think they are in the position to pay game devs to add XeSS implementation to their games.

Sad days for gaming when we are supposed to be excited about getting 'performance' from fake frames instead of real raster power increases. It's like getting a new car with double horsepower but the only thing they actually changed is the numbers shown on your dashboard.

It's a 25 percent uplift on pure raster from their last gen, which was already making other gpus look bad.

3:18 free performance because the quality is nearly the same. Feel like that is a little too much marketing speak for me. Maybe on 4k with only quality upscaling. But all the upscaling I have seen leaves artifact, and to me it can be very distracting. I would say it is a trade off and people will have to test for them self to see what they prefer. 3:40 XeSS FG Honestly I don't see myself using frame interpolation. (Maybe in very specific games) I don't like the latency that comes with less than <60 FPS and I am not that sensitive to to smoothness. In most games I am happy with 80-90 FPS, max 144 due to my screen. But if I need a base framerate of 60 FPS before using frame interpolation then I get a frame rate of ~120 but at the cost of some visual artifacts. I think I might just lower settings a little so that I get 80 FPS and then avoid the artifacts over playing at 120 FPS with the extra smoothness but with artifacts. 🤷‍♂ But I guess some people love it.

I always enjoy Tom Peterson, he's been keeping Intel alive where the company traditionally gets ignored. Given how knee deep crisis they're in recent times, he's a good PR for the company's sinking reputation.
