Hi Pranay Sir, I am using SigNoz on my VM where I have installed my Java application to monitor logs and metrics. However, my Java application consists of 10 Tomcat servers, and I want to monitor each one of them separately on a single SigNoz machine. I have managed to monitor a single Tomcat server, but I have not been able to achieve this for the other 9 Tomcat servers. What I have observed is that when I start Tomcat for one server, it runs fine. However, when I start another Tomcat server, the logs from the previous Tomcat server get lost, and SigNoz shows no logs or metrics for it. Please help me to achieve this. Thank you

Sir if we have an inbuit opentelmetry in signoz then how should i send my container data to signoz directly or do I need otel collector ?

What type of data are you trying to send from your containers? For example, traces data - you can send directly to SigNoz or you can also send via otel collector Check our docs to get a better understanding of this - e.g docs for Python signoz.io/docs/instrumentation/python/#send-traces-to-signoz-cloud

I just want to send few application metrics to signoz, not everything(Traces and Logs). Will java agent a good choice to my java application running in prod. Won't it affect overall performance of my application?

there's generally not much overhead to the application ( varies from 2-5%) If you just want to send some custom metrics - you can check this - signoz.io/docs/userguide/send-metrics/ But generally we have seen app developers to be most interested in latency metrics which can be got out of the box via APM - signoz.io/docs/instrumentation/java/
