Simply put in regard to rewards.. there isn't going to be certain believers on a "heavenly hierarchy" FOREVER with all the heavenly peasants in the gutter of heaven FOREVER. lol "As far as the east is from the west" means exactly what it means. Was the sin of being a "slacker Christian" not FULLY paid for on the cross as well? YES it was! John 19:30 KJV "It is finished"

9:00 yeah brother soo good. I think we can pray all the time about all the things and stuff, cuz Christ is my high priest. And maybe cuz i wasn't praying(in the conversational ongoing kinda way) on the truths of who he is, is why Ive been so messed up the last while. No fellowship no food, so im starvin. Dude prayer is so nice stuff. I can talk in my mind and know Jesus is listening and as i discover in my mind as pray, who he is, im happy and peace finally. This is dope😌

What about old school calvinists? Like im from a church called free Presbyterian Church of Scotland. Some of what is preached reminds me of you in the sense of Christ being preached, and the need for coming to a complete end of ones self. But theres also alot of religion and dominionism and other stuff that i don't like. Idk its very hard to discern. But often theres a spirit of bondage and fear, and a focus on the need for a sense of sin, and true holy living blah blah blah. So i get pissed in my head at peaple at church, but then i also hear them speak of Christ in a way that is good too. Its a real trip for me man. Like Spurgeon preaches a free offer of the gospel, but then on Christian living, i think hes a little wack idk. And thats kinda a good representation of the church im in. Except Spurgeon is a little more focused on the free offer of Christ, then many other authors and "divines" as they're called. Its a trip man🥴😠😩 Have u had any experience in old school Calvinism? The folks who came up with the Westminster confession of faith? It's intimidating for me cuz many of them seem very spiritual and can say alot of deep stuff about Christ, but they're tied to religion at the same time. And i think there's way to much focus on true holy Christian living, correct church government, sin consciousness, and that kinda thing. Its just so confusing at times. Cuz they preach that u shouldnt stop seeking Christ until u find rest, but yet they're constant talking about sin in the believers life, sermons on hell for motivation or whatever that's supposed to do😣, and all kinds of stuff other than the finished work of Christ and victory he's secured for all those who believe in him. Edit: and yur boy here stressin fr fr lol.

16:31 The prodigal son is such a beautiful story bro. Its a good picture of the goodness of God leading to repentance. Bro didn't gotta agonize over stuff and play some religious dance before God recieved him or something. Nah he just saw that it was much better to be with his Father. And surprise surprise when he went back, it was ridiculously better than he could hope or imagine. Yo im happy rn. Actually i can remember now, the prodical son story, might have been when i got saved. I can't remember when i got saved, cuz the past is a hazy mess, but im remembering now. I was suddenly brought to tears listening to someone tell the prodical son story in a video on end times prophecy and nephilem or some crap like that lolol. And it was the beginning of me seeing God as a someone wonderful, instead of a hard scary taskmaster. Man i got no idea when i saved exactly, but I remember that had a huge impact on me. Lol i was cutting hay and listening to Timothy alberino. And he was telling the story of the prodigal son in one of his videos. Im not to big into that kind of thing anymore, but Tim Alberino does have some pretty interesting stuff to say, and it was mind blowing for me at the time. Anyways good stuff lol. Ain't no story like prodigal son story.

Are backsliders (not a term mentioned in my bible) going to hell? Or is their faith that Jesus did all the work necessary for their salvation good enough? Also fruit inspector not a term described by Paul for the body of Christ. Inquiring minds want to know.

Your channel is one of the first grace channels I watched, you helped me a lot and I was just wondering what you say about 1 Corinthians 3:8-15, to me it seems to say that believers are judged according to works and either rewarded or suffer loss. I'm very curious what you teach on this.

Hi David. I've listened in the past to your take on James as having been written before the fulness of the gospel was revealed to Paul. I was just researching an error presented by a rapture 'watchman' regarding Galatians 2:11 about why Paul withstood Peter. The next verse, vs. 12 actually gives evidence for the position that James was presenting a gospel that was at that time, incomplete or muddled or what-have-you. Because Peter not only lived like the gentile believers conscience free, but he also knew that (or at least was afraid that) the James delegation would not approve, and that as far as Jewish Christians went they were the authority. So obviously theres conflict between the James crowd and the Peter and Paul and gentile crowd. Don't know if you ever brought it up, just noticed it myself, thought I'd share.

My experience with discipline is severely distorted as a result of receiving an outward expression of anger and hostility disguised as discipline as a child. It was not discipline. It was violence and abuse. It taught me that I was a bad person. It has since developed into Complex PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder. I medicated my emotional and mental illnesses with drugs and alcohol for over 40 years. That spiraled into a very dark place. In the midst of all this, YOU taught me that my salvation is secure as a result of Christ’s finished work and the Grace of God through faith. Yet, that didn’t change anything about my mental health. The misinterpretation of God’s word by modern religion suggested it was my fault and my responsibility to fix myself, that I had to restore my own “backsliding” according to how the warped beliefs of the church observed me. Today I am receiving Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy in hopes of relieving the agony of severe anxiety and depression. Does that make me backslidden? I didn’t ask for CPTSD. I have only ever tried to survive in this world by whatever means necessary to endure the suffering that was inflicted upon me. The mainstream church only ever served to condemn me through their false beliefs.
@davidbenjamininchrist3 күн бұрын
No it doesn't make you backslidden as I said in a sense it's not real it's just our feelings. Sorry you've gone through all of that. I pray your therapy and your growing knowledge of the truth help you enter into rest

❤🙏🏻 Your experience resonates with me. I was abused growing up too, at home and at school. I’ve suffered from depression and anxiety most of my life and I have very little self confidence and the main stream church doesn’t help you at all, when you’re meek and shy and insecure 😢. Some days idk how I’m still here. But God.

Been there depressed drinking, but knowing Im saved. I was ready to go... The more I meditated on the goodness of God towards an underserving sinner like my self. The more I wanted to share that free gift of salvation with others regardless of the terrible circumstances experienced through life, and there's nothing better than sharing the Gospel to someone.. it blesses us Just as much as them.. Now I have hope for the rest of my days knowing he is faithful even when I lose hope in all I see around me, but he continues to shower me with grace growing my confidence in who he is, what I have in him, and appreciation for it. He knows what we need before we even ask. With food and clothing be therewith content- which is hard thing to accept at first but he teaches our mind that His will is good acceptable and perfect. Very helpful verse. Godliness with contentment is great gain, but what a hard concept for a sinner to learn. Once you do it's quite rewarding though. Our hearts rage more than the oceans I think at times and He knows how to still the waves. Blessed be the name of the Lord, now and forever more.

@connerpaxton4848 Such good words, Conner. I love that scene where Jesus stands up in the boat and commands the storm to cease. "Peace be still!" and there was a great calm. Only Christ can bring a great calm into our storms. I've heard it taught that the reason there will not be any oceans on the new earth is that they represent the chaos and storms of this fallen world. Also, the seas are a dividing feature between the nations. The new creation will be perfect, and so shall we. Blessings and kindest regards David from Australia. 🌏 🙄☝️

@davidn3843 Revelation 22:1-5 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. . Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Your correct, there will be no oceans in the new creation. Old things have passed away and all things become new. I was reading something in Psalms when I realized the oceans were very representative of the chaos in of our hearts. Bible says a lot about the oceans regarding God's glory, and how it only obeys him. The most powerful force in nature, is but a puddle to him. Only way I could explain how my heart felt at times was to relate it to the ocean. In Psalms God says be still and know I am God, and Jesus told the storm to be still and Peter began walking on the water by faith in who he was walking towards.
